"Working with Landeros Drywall was a positive experience from start to finish. Abraham was upfront & honest about the costs and was able to get started on my project within 24 hours of me reaching out. His crew was as neat & tidy as it gets when it comes to finished drywall work and were very respectful of our home. The quality of work was excellent and would recommend Landeros to anyone in need of drywall work."

"Carlos and his team did an excellent job repairing our basement walls and installing new drywall. High quality and fast work at a great price. Already recommended to a friend who needed similar work. They are a fantastic option for drywall or other handyman work"

"I cannot say enough about Angel. I wasn't sure I'd get a response from anyone on Angi on a Saturday, but Angel responded very quickly, asked to see the large (6") hole I had in drywall the same night (which was fantastic) And asked if I wanted him to do job right now. I was more then thrilled! He was very professional, very kind and his work was amazing. I can't even tell the previous damage! What an awesome job! I very highly recommend him for anyone's drywall work. I told Angel if I ever need help again, he will be who I reach out to! I will recommend him to family and friends in the future. Thank you Angel!"

Small jobs welcome

"I was amazed how professional they were. They repaired two damaged areas and the repair to the drywall was perfect . They even matched the texture and color of the paint. I thought I would have to paint the area but they did everything. I can honestly recommend them in a heart beat. Could not be happier."

"It went very well. The new ceiling looks great. When I met with Tom I said I wanted it to be bright as the lights that were in the old ceiling were very small and dim. And as promised, it is very bright down there! I would definitely use this business again. Very professional, cleaned everything up and looks so much better than before."

"The project went well. Chris and his Son were polite and did a good job. Under the cold conditions they were able to provide a high quality product. The work they did in my garage looks amazing. They were also able to touch up my existing drywall and re-texture and paint to make the whole garage seamless. There were a few minor cracks to the seams that showed up. Chris is going to wait until the weather warms up to come back and take care of them. I'm confident this will be resolved and he was more than willing to address and take care of it. I'll post an update once the work is done. I also had them paint some exposed wood around my garage door. They did a very nice job and I'm thrilled with the work."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

The tool you use to sand plaster will depend on the size of the project. If you’re just working on a small section of your wall to get rid of an uneven spot on the surface, hand-sanding might work. However, for larger projects, a drywall sander can make a huge difference when it comes to both time and elbow grease—and an orbital sander can help for detailed areas such as around ceiling fans.

Regularly in areas prone to moisture or high traffic to catch issues early.

You can put certain types of plaster over other types, but doing so isn't always the best idea. For example, putting a coat of gypsum over lime plaster is possible, but doing so will limit the lime plaster's breathability and potentially affect its performance.

Since cement plaster tends to leave a textured surface, no matter how much you smooth it, some people prefer to use gypsum plaster as a topcoat over cement plaster, creating a smoother surface.

Which style of corner bead you choose—whether metal or paper-faced—depends on your preference and if you’re comfortable using metal-cutting tools and a hammer. Metal bead offers superior strength and durability but its installation is slightly more involved. We’d say for most cases, it’s better to use metal bead but if you’re not comfortable working with metal, paper-faced bead will work just fine.

It is possible to apply plaster on the interior or exterior of your home, but we don’t recommend it. Plaster is easy to apply in theory, but in reality, it can be a challenging material to work with, and it’s difficult to get the finished product to look clean, even, and smooth. Many DIYers end up calling in a professional afterward to touch up the area or even redo it entirely because of mistakes they made in the process. Hiring a plaster pro will cost more, but it’s usually the best option to achieve high-quality results.
