"Mike and his team did more than create a wonderful new crushed blue granite driveway, parking area and fireplace area, they also landscaped and transplanted shrubbery around our park model home and storage barn and regraded and planted a beautiful new lawn on our recently cleared wooded lot. Their assessments, development of plans. estimate communications, organization and implementation of plans and overall completion of our projects was beyond exceptional. All of this was occurring during an exceptionally wet and rainy early summer and they did a tremendous job adjusting their plans to complete our work in a timely fashion. You should place a layer of thick landscaping fabric directly over the concrete slab and then a thin layer of leveling sand over that to protect the pavers from moisture. For border pavers, you should plan on locking them in place with polyurethane adhesive. This will prevent them from shifting under foot traffic.

The most obvious disadvantage of permeable paving is that the cost is typically higher compared to non-permeable concrete, pavers, or asphalt methods. Also, the porous material can get clogged with dirt and debris, requiring cleaning and power washing more frequently than standard paving materials and methods. Although permeable paving is not ideal for highways, airports, and other surfaces supporting heavy traffic and machinery, it is suitable for regular residential driveways.

Your driveway contractor will probably recommend that you avoid driving on your new millings driveway for up to a week. Keeping pressure off the freshy applied millings will help the driveway to bind together.
