"The company cannot repair what it sells to consumers. We were sold a service warranty on a washer/dryer unit we purchased from the company. The company sent a repair service out to work on the washer/dryer unit but the service man could not repair it despite working on several times. We waited over a month for parts and for service work. It depends. For new ovens, it’s best to run a few empty cycles to prepare the oven for use and to keep any manufacturing byproducts from entering your food. But if your oven is smoking due to a few burnt pieces of old food, then it probably won’t hurt to eat it. If there’s a lot of smoke, then your food probably won’t taste good, even if it might not be harmful to consume.

Only portable washers and dryers function without a full hookup, though in most cases, you will need the proper plumbing, electrical, and ventilation installation. However, many homes already have a washer and dryer hookup installed, in which case, all you need to do is attach your new appliances to the existing hookup. If you're not sure whether you have a functioning hookup, you can call a plumber to come and assess your setup for you.

The short answer is no, wall ovens do not need exterior venting. This is because ovens have internal vents which help dissipate the air and control the heat and fumes. Safety is important, which is why built-in ovens have systems inside of them that slowly purge heat and fumes. It is rare for a built-in oven to have a range hood with external ventilation, but this is common for stovetop/oven combination units as they don’t possess the same internal venting technology as wall units.

Choosing a unit with higher BTUs can use more electricity if the BTUs are more than what’s necessary for your room size. However, choosing an AC with BTUs that match the size of your room or house, your unit will cool your space efficiently. On the flip side, choosing a system with not enough BTUs can cause the system to work harder to try to cool the space, leading to more electricity consumption and higher energy bills.

Typically, refrigerators should not be plugged into GFCI outlets. This is another appliance with a motor that can be prone to a little current leakage. Using a standard outlet saves nuisance tripping and the potential of waking up to a refrigerator full of warm food. The only exception is when the refrigerator is in a garage, where all outlets must be GFCI.
