"We are very pleased with the landscape repairs and sod installation completed by Extreme Lawns. work was completed as promised and for a reasonable price. Brad even went the extra mile to ensure our new sod was monitored and watered while we were away for a short period of time right after installation."

Small jobs welcome

"Central Wisconsin Excavating (CWE) did a fantastic job on our project. They built a solid, well-prepared foundation for our 80,000-bushel grain bin and graded our driveways perfectly to ensure water drains away from our buildings. Their attention to detail, quality of work, and professionalism really stood out. The site was left clean and properly finished, and everything was done right the first time. We’re extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend CWE to anyone needing excavation or site work done right."

"Alonso Landscape Service did a fantastic job of removing the 5 stumps from our yard. They handled contacting Diggers Hotline. They used a low-impact stump grinder that left no visible signs of its presence on the lawn after the job was done. They removed all of the debris and filled in the holes with fresh, smoothly graded top soil. They charged what we considered a very reasonable fee for the project. I would definitely hire them again in the future."

"Jayden and his crew did a fantastic job removing old poles (at least 10 poles, some 10-15+ foot in height and required extensive digging) and also removing dead trees along with hauling all of the debris away. I highly recommend Jay’s Lawn and Lanscape as they are professional, reliable and amazing at what they do!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Yes, it’s possible to overwater a newly-planted tree. Daily watering is great for the first few weeks, but it’s important not to go overboard. Excessive watering can lead to various problems, including root rot, fungal diseases, and a lack of root development.

Professionals use assessments, strategic cuts, specialized equipment, and safety measures to ensure healthy growth or the safe removal of trees or shrubs.

Rock salt or Epsom salt can damage and kill tree roots over several weeks and can even assist in removing the tree's stump. However, you need to drill holes or cut into the stump and surface tree roots to inject them properly with the salt. Repeat the process every two weeks until the roots visibly rot away.

Some trees will bounce back just fine, and others will struggle and possibly die. Evergreens, for instance, have a very difficult time recovering after droughts and usually die after periods of extreme dryness. Usually, you’ll have to just wait and see—if the drought occurs in wintertime, it’s possible that your tree will recover during the gentler springtime.

A standard tree removal doesn’t include stump grinding. If you want your contractor to remove your tree and grind the stump, you must pay an extra charge. That said, you’ll likely save on the cost of stand-alone service—especially if it’s a small tree and they can finish both jobs in a single trip.
