"Utilizing All Service Moving for the move was a very positive experience. They had good communication, answering several questions prior to the move and did a final confirmation just prior to the move date. As for the physical move itself, Jose, Abraham, and Alberto were polite, diligent, and careful moving the many items, and managed to complete the move more quickly than anticipated."

"Honey Bees Moving was AWESOME! Tim and his team moved our equipment perfectly. It was a tough move with lots of stairs at both ends, and a new location that isn't on GPS completely. They took care of our equipment and both locations like they were their own. I would definitely recommend Honey Bees for any move you're making!"

"It went great. Movers communicated ahead of time and helped me get ready for the move day. They were very careful while moving some very heavy items upstairs to move out and then downstairs to move in. They did exactly what they promised on arriving and moving our house and we’re more careful with it than I would have been"

"Moving was a breeze with this company! Outstanding customer service and value. The owner, Dave, personally sets up the move and is there with you the whole way. Very personable, polite, responsive, and hard working. He came with another employee, Chris, all the way from Baraboo to Greenfield for my move for a nominal trip charge. Even with the long travel distance, they still beat out,p a local company in the quoted price. No extensive prep requirements. No need to empty drawers. They wrap everything and load it on the truck as is. They were right on time and moved with haste but they were very careful. No time wasted. Thanks Dave and Chris! Great job!"

Moving questions, answered by experts

Yes, moving insurance is designed to cover some or all of the replacement cost in the event your items are damaged during transit. You can get coverage directly from moving companies or use a third-party moving insurance provider. Plus, you can get coverage from third-party insurers for yourself if you’re moving your belongings.

Planning your office move should ideally start three to six months or more in advance. This timeframe allows plenty of time for tasks such as researching moving companies, creating a budget, coordinating with employees, decluttering and organizing, packing, and addressing any logistical challenges. Starting early also ensures that you have flexibility in scheduling and can handle unexpected hiccups that may arise during the planning process.

Unfortunately, moving scammers exist, so it’s important to thoroughly vet your moving company before scheduling a service date. Your moving company is likely legitimate if the offer fits within the average cost range, they provide proper contracts and moving insurance, don’t require a large deposit, and have several positive and recent online reviews from previous customers. Feel free to request previous customer information from the moving service and contact them to inquire about their experience to ease any lingering concerns.

Your furnace rests at the center of one of the most complicated infrastructures in your home. Air intakes, ducts, water, electricity, and sometimes gas connect up to the system. Most of these lines were run to this point specifically to service the furnace, so they’ll need to be closed up and new ones established.  A furnace is almost always connected to the air conditioner, so you’ll probably be moving those components as well.

Moving a furnace a few feet is probably no big deal. Moving it into a different part of the house is a different story.

Yes, you’ll need a dolly to move a washer or dryer. These appliances are extremely heavy and cumbersome. A dolly and heavy-duty straps will streamline the moving process and reduce the chances of an accidental injury. As a bonus, a dolly helps protect your flooring from scratches that can occur during the moving process.
