- Top Notch MoversI had to contact a mover on a Sunday. No other mover in Madison, WI was open except Top Notch Movers. They answered their phone. I told the owner that Colonial Van Lines, Pompano Beach, FL the day before we were scheduled to move, told us they would not move us even with 3 months notice, a contract with them and money down, which they took to secure the move. They asked us to give them a 3 day window and then the day before the first day, stated they couldn't move us none of the days. We had to be out of our house in 2 days. We rented from the current owner of our house. The contract would expire and we had to leave. One of the owners of Top Notch Movers, Andrew, said he would make it happen. He really didn't have time available because of other scheduled moves but he would fit us in and store our things and deliver our things after we had relocated to South Carolina. They arrived the next morning and we were moved out that day. Thank God! Thank you Top Notch and Angi. I don't know what we would have done had he not helped us on such short notice. They are a very concerned group of people who put people first. Their service is preeminent. The defiition of preeminent is "surpassing all others; very distinguished in some way." Thank you Top Notch. Thank you Angi for sending me a list of your best movers and helping me in a serious and stressful situation. Even if you check reviews by Googling, I found out, they are not always accurate and there is a way to bury the bad but true reviews until you dig further and then it can be too late. I found the other horror stories similar to mine from people who contracted with Colonial Van Lines, FL, after digging deeper. Going with a trusted service company like Angi, that reviews and filters good people who perform a service needed is the only way to trust someone with your life and your life events

- First Class Moving & StorageWhen I was receiving quotes for my upcoming move, First Class explained why it was beneficial to me to have an in-home estimate rather than a phone quote, even for a studio apt. I was greeted with patient, helpful and friendly staff each time I called with questions. They guaranteed the quote would not change with the exception of the packing materials which they estimated and in the end did not go over. I appreciated that they gave me a tip on how to reserve parking in front of my apt. building which made loading the truck go quickly and did not disrupt traffic. Two movers arrived on time and worked quickly and were mindful of keeping the security doors locked when they were not using them. They even reserved a parking space behind the truck when a car left so we could move our car closer. That was an unexpected and greatly appreciated gesture. All furniture was securely wrapped and boxes (which I had already packed) except for a framed picture they packed for me, were moved carefully. Nothing was broken or damaged during the move. They surprised us and arrived at my new apt before we did and rather than sit and wait for us, had talked to the building manager and was able to begin moving my belongings before we arrived. They had called me 2x to tell me they had arrived and that they were moving my belongings in- so they kept me posted. The 2 moving guys were friendly, professional and caring. They moved me in quickly and placed my belongings where I requested. They went above what I expected movers to do and with a smile. I learned that they had recently moved a few people to and from the Madison area, so their familiarity with the area was another added bonus. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM THEY ARE THE BEST!!!

- 1st Class Moving and StorageThe team of 3 arrived on time, very carefully packed all of my household goods and put them in storage. This included moving a piano down two flights of stairs. They were pleasant and courteous. The packing took longer than anticipated but they packed everything very carefully and took care not to bang up walls even when carrying heavy furniture down 2 flights of stairs. My goods were kept in storage at their warehouse and were delivered one month later. (No charge for one month's storage.) The delivery took place on time, once again the team was pleasant and responsive. Everything was delivered in excellent condition, nothing broken or damaged. The charges ended up exceeding the estimate but I asked them to do extra work, so no complaint

- Big Dog Movers Of Madison LLCProvider provided by ANGI. Provider called, we discussed the details of the move, a deposit was requested in the amount of 104.00 which was paid via phone. Later on September 24th I was informed my sons would be able to make the move since it was so few items. On September 25th I called Mike at Big Boy Movers I requested to cancelled the move. He asked me give him the date service was to be provided and the last 4 digits of my Visa card which I provided. Later that day I received a text that stated that since I was canceling within less than a week they would not refund my deposit. The appointment was made less than a week in advance. I was not told of the refund policy during our conversation on the telephone. I have no written contract or agreement all arrangements were done on the telephone no mention of refund policy
- Good Stuff MovingOur move was complicated by the fact that we had two destinations in Madison: an apartment building where we would be living, and a storage unit where a good portion of our furnishings and other belongings would be for several months. Brent came up with a good plan, using two trucks, with one loaded for the apartment and the second for the storage unit. We had Good Stuff pack the kitchen, a massive job which was completed quickly and efficiently on the morning of our move. The four staff, Trevor, Mike, Sean, and Erik, were extremely polite, friendly, fast, and helpful. They took great care with our possessions and assisted us with a few items we had not packed prior to their arrival. On day two the movers unloaded our things in Madison. They were great about asking where we wanted things placed at the apartment. At the storage unit, Mike did a masterful job in determining where and how to place all our items so they would fit inside our 10x20 unit. Everything went very smoothly and we were very pleased with Good Stuff and its staff
