Weed Man employs about 25-30 people during our main season. We do not sub contract any of our work. All of our fully trained staff is certified in the appropriate fields to treat your lawn. To be fair to all of our customers we do our service pricing based on the square footage of the turf on your property. "Please read this carefully before this happens to you! The week of February 20th a Weed Man representative personally visited my home. He identified himself and asked if I would like a quote for my lawn service. I told him I had a service for the last 2 years and I would consider if they could be price competitive. I gave him my email address, he walked around my property and left. On February 22 I received a quote via email labeled Weed Man “Promises Kept”. I was satisfied with the quote, so I called my current lawn services and told them I no longer needed their service. I signed up with Weed Man and paid in full for the yearly service of 6 applications. On 4-13-23 they performed my first service, and everything went well. Later that day I received a phone call from a Weed Man representative. My first thought was they wanted to thank me for my business but that was far from the truth. She told me they could not service my property unless I paid them more money. As I stated earlier, I had already paid for the full year. There is only one word that can describe that business practice…Extortion. I told her I had paid for the year and expected them to honor their contract with me. She told me she needed to speak to upper management and would call me back. That call never came and the following week I attempted to log onto the Weed Man website to view my account. It gave me a message that my account was not active. I called the phone number listed on my quote and was told my account was cancelled 2 days prior. I asked to be called back by someone in management. 2 days later I did receive a call and was told it was being recorded. I was clear I was not happy with their extortion practices to get me to pay more than my written paid quote. She told me they could not service my lawn for the quoted price. She cancelled my service and told me my full amount would be refunded. I asked them again to honor their paid contract and if they wanted more money they could ask for that next year and let me decide if I wanted to keep their service at a higher price but they refused. It has now been 2 weeks and my account is still cancelled and no money has been refunded."

Probably not. Many imitation nests are meant to be hung from trees or other tall places, but not all yellow jackets nest up high—most species, such as the common yellow jacket and the southern yellow jacket, build nests in the ground. 

Look for consistent buzzing sounds, visible hives, or increased bee activity around your property.

Ensure proper ventilation, address leaks, and conduct regular inspections.

Some species of bees (not to mention hornets) are aggressive and dangerous to have in your walls. If they swarm in anger or defense, they could badly hurt people in your home. Other species of bees are largely harmless and many people live in close proximity to them.

Either way, bees making hives in your walls usually causes damage. It can contribute to moisture problems, and attract other pests. Those problems get even worse if honeycombs build up. So we strongly suggest you find a way to keep bees from taking up permanent residence.

If you seal bees in a wall and don’t leave them any way to escape, they may make one of their own. Otherwise, they’ll die inside the wall, and that creates many additional problems. It takes a long time, and the bees will start rotting, which can make your home smell miserable. All the dead bees and any honeycombs they may have created will also attract a number of bugs or other pests to your home. That’s why we suggest removing the bees entirely, and not trying to seal them away.
