Kirk did a great job of removing the old wood fence that had blown down and replacing it with a beautiful black chain link fence. I highly recommend!

We contacted Post Holes via Angie's List and received a quick estimate over the phone. After contacting multiple other contractors on the site, we decided to go with Post Holes Unlimited. Kirk then came out to our house and gave a more detailed proposal. We reviewed it, signed it and sent in the down payment.
Two weeks later, on the exact day Kirk said he would be there, he showed up and began installing the fence. The fence was completed within two days and the custom welded aluminum-framed and reinforced gate was installed two days later.
The fence looks amazing and we have gotten compliments from our neighbors. Its incredibly well built and the custom gate is truly impressive. It was worth every penny and I would gladly recommend Post Holes Unlimited to anyone in need of such services.

Kirk was very professional and called me back same day. He gave a us great rate on the job and could fit us in quicker than anyone else we called for quotes. The finished project looks amazing and is the perfect price conscious solution to keeping our daughter playing safely in our backyard. We are very happy to have gotten the fence installed early in July before our Wisconsin summer disappears into fall. Contacted Kirk in late March to get estimate on costs of fence. He was very responsive compared to other companies contacted. It was a struggle to get three other bids from those rated "A" on Angie's list. No one wanted to come out that early.
Kirk was very accurate between his rough estimate and actual contracted price. The fence was installed promptly when weather permitted. It looks great. They were cognizant of our needs. Everything was done in a very timely manner. We are really happy(as are our dogs)with the it.
Would highly recommend.

They were excellent, they came out, surveyed fence, gave a design, gave estimates, and they brought out materials prior. They came in and it took them 1 day to install the fence, 2 days for the gates to be rebuilt. And from start to finish it was a 3 week project at the end of season. They met a deadline I had, and also did another side project for another gate and delivered the gate. Very satisfied.

I contacted four Angie's List providers, all "A" rated, after I had a fairly expensive quote from a lower rated fence company. One never returned my call. One came out and measured, but never emailed me the promised quote or returned follow-up phone calls. One gave me a much more expensive quote, but never came out to measure. Kirk not only came out when he said he would, but he was extremely pleasant to work with and we LOVE our new fence!
I was fairly flexible on the time frame...he told me he was busy and correctly set my expectations, but I just wanted the fence before winter so we worked around his schedule. He came to measure as scheduled, provided some suggestions on placement in the yard as well as style of fence...he didn't just take what I wanted, but provided recommendations based on his years of experience and what would look best (things neither I nor the landscape designer had thought about). He had a couple day delay with his supplier, but called and let me know, and his revised date for installation was spot on. After installation, he gave us tips on adjusting the gates if they didn't swing correctly, and also provided information on cleaning the fence and any potential maintenance (extremely minimal!!).
Super easy to work with, did a great job. From a price perspective...I had to pay a bit more because they had to hand dig four holes because of buried lines in the yard (not his fault, by any means), but I'd always like to pay less!!!
I would definitely recommend him to install a vinyl fence!

We had an excellent experience. Kirk did a great job keeping in contact with us throughout the project. He was very accommodating to our requests and a few changes that we made along the way. He even used the special nails that I wanted. The fence was put up quickly and it looks great..

Initial contact took awhile, however, he had informed my of some medical issues in his family and eventually returned my calls.
After that, all went smoothly.
We communicated by phone and then by e-mail. I scanned and sent a drawing of the fence, marking the posts needing replacement. He gave me a rough estimate [$70 lower than final cost] which was lower than another estimate I'd gotten.
Then he did an onsite inspection and we signed a contract. The price was somewhat higher because old concrete had to be dug out by hand - the post remover equipment too big to fit in my backyard.
Owner and another worker did the job. Cleaned up, removed old posts. Friendly, efficient.
I followed the owner around and asked all sorts of questions; he taught me about types of posts / the mechanics of digging post holes / characteristics of concrete / life-cycle and maintenance of picket fences. I learned alot.
After that, all went smoothly.

Kirk called my project the "billy goat job'; because of the hills and the rocky soil. We had to have a path cut for him through the trees and brush and I was skeptical about how this project would turn out. It was very important to me to have this done before I moved in- which only gave Kirk about a week or so to get it all done--and he came through for me. The fence looks great, and asI walked the fence line with my dogs, I was quite impressed with the wonderful job Kirk and his crew did! I did not meet the rest of his crew but Kirk was great to deal with. I would use his service again in a heartbeat.

PHU (Kirk) was very accomodating from the very beginning. My first conversation with him covered the requested services, along with recommendations from him on how to best proceed. My call was on a Monday and services were scheduled for Friday (same week). Kirk arrived on time and was very pleasant to work with. He had a great personality and was very willing to share his deck building knowledge with us. This was extremely helpful as this is our first venture into building an elevated deck.
Because this deck will be elevated, the holes needed to be a minimum of 4 feet deep. Before proceeding, Kirk made sure the marked locations were aligned properly to produce the best results.
The equipment used was an excellent machine and the cost was lower than other competitors bids. I am actually building two decks (an upper and lower deck) and will not hesitate to contact Post Holes Unlimited next year when we move on to building the lower deck.

I needed to put an addition to my existing chain link fence since my neighbor had decided to remove his old fence, which would leave a gap in my yard. I have dogs so I need to have a fenced in yard. Called PHU to take a look at the project and give me an estimate. They were out at my place within a few days and after about an hour of discussion, I was given an estimate of cost and completion, and we agreed upon when it should be done. The owner and one of his helpers showed up on the appointed date on time, and began work on the job immediately. They removed part of my existing fence which was still attached to my neighbors fence, and also removed the remaining portion of my neighbors fence and stacked it neatly in his yard much to his appreciation. They then proceeded to install the addition to my fence. Some problems did crop up along the way, but they were quickly resolved to my satisfaction. Even so, the project was still completed on time as promised. The job was started at around 10.00 AM and finished at around 5.00 PM. Everything looked great. Afterwards all remaining debris was removed, and the job site cleaned up properly. I was very satisfied with their work and friendliness and would recommend them to anyone.

Discovered PHU worked on garage doors by looking for someone on Angies list. PHU had replaced all of the wooden posts in our fence and did a great job so I was happy to hire them again for this job. They had to order springs for our 30+ year old door and we had them in 3 days. The job took 1 hour.

The communication and service was fantastic. I had over 10 estimates for my fence. I loved that with Post Holes the person I spoke with was also the person who was going to be doing the work. He didn't oversell to me as some others did. He answered all my questions, and after over 10 estimates and hearing from each other person what was good about their product and bad about others, I had a lot of questions.

Previously we had Kirk install a fence and he did a great job so when my garage door had problems of course I called Kirk. Our garage was stuck shut so Kirk came over and reset our Idrive so we were able to get into our garage and we set up a time to replace it. Later he came and uninstalled our old garage door opener and installed the new one and a key pad on the out side of the garage door. The new opener works amazing and is much quieter than the Idrive which is just fantastic. We almost can't wait for our other garage door opener to go so we can have Kirk come replace that one too. Kirk does a fantastic job and is very reliable. We Highly recommend him.

Wonderful experience! Kirk was there every step of the way. Worked with me getting the town permit, excellent advice, installed fence with no damage to yard, created extra gate built to match existing deck, and added lattice work to close off area under deck. A couple of spots had too much space below, due to terrain, so Kirk came back and replaced boards with longer ones. The fence is fantastic! I couldn't be happier and would recommend Post Holes to anyone.

At the time their price was very good and they were very efficient in what they did and it was really fast. I checked on them and I know when I did look into it, I noticed that it has gone up in price definitely and has been 20 years. I did not have any negative issue with them.
