The door is very easy to raise & lower by hand so I told him no. I asked him if he would check & lubricate the chain. He said that would damage the unit. The owners manual recommends checking the chain tension & adjusting it if needed. He did not look at it at all. He did not perform a safety check either."

"Have been a customer for 25+ years. Any issues, I would call them. Good, fast service...until recently. Needed the springs replaced,due to one being broken. Technician showed up on time, replaced my springs in short order. Never checked the door operation, just packed up asap, took my credit card info and was on his way. A number of weeks later the door would not close, it kept raising after coming in contact with the floor. After a few cycles it would stay closed. Shortly after that I noticed the door was crooked and had a gap on one side. I adjusted the cable but after a short time it was crooked again. I called consolidated and explained the problem, told the woman who answered how long I have been a customer and that I needed it fixed. I was lookin at invoices dating back to 1999 at the time. She said that they had no record of any services done for me, and basically accused me of being untruthful. Told me it would be 126.00 for them to come out. I told her no thank you, I was not lying and would never use them or recommend them again. Called another company that promptly came out. Discovered that the technician did not wind the springs correctly. Described the individual to them and they knew exactly who was out. He had worked at there company in the past but was let go. Well a hundred dollars later the door works great and I will be using them for all my future issues and recommendations."

Salesman stated two payments. 50% down to start the job and remaining due at completion and satisfaction of the jobs. They wanted payment after each job. Workers left two windows unframed with pine shims and spray foam insulation sticking out. Back door lock was installed crooked, bottom weather stripping was ripped up, and worker destroyed my original oak trim around the door and installed white trim in place of it. Siding crew didnt speak english and I came home to them installing insulation board over my existing siding instead of taking old siding off. They were caught not replacing old rotted facet boards and tried installing over rotted out wood. Vinyl trim around the windows was not even. They had to come out three times to caulk the same window. Workers put up new gutters with large black scrape on the front. Sales presentation is recorded, but will not provide a copy of audio to customer."
