"Moved into a new house, discovered some evidence of mice. Schopen came to the rescue! Setting an appointment was easy, the tech arrived on time, was friendly. He did a visual inspection inside and outside of the house and patched possible entrances around the foundation. He set traps and bait stations and then came back for a maintenance check. No major evidence of intrusion--the holes they filled outside worked! I am keeping them on for maintenance and adding a spider and bugs b/c they give a single fee for maintenance on both--which is a great deal. They also have an account portal on their website so clients can track spending, notes, and appointments. One national brand came and tried to upsell me--saying that I needed them to install a barrier around my house because of some issue with my siding ($2000!) and the cost of their annual service was double Schopen. I highly recommend skipping the big-name brands and going with this family-owned business."

It took 2 weeks for a manager to view our lawn. They then refused to take responsibility to rectify our ruined lawn. It had cost us $3500 and hours of watering and care. Gnats are drawn to moisture and decaying organic matter, so they love to snack on unsealed produce, flowers, plants, and food or liquid spills. Bleach, which can kill drain flies, can also kill fruit flies, but it’s better to lure fruit flies to a liquid rather than applying chemicals, as it’s very difficult to reach them all. A more practical approach is to lure fruit flies with traps made from liquids like apple cider vinegar mixed with dish soap. This method is safer and more efficient, since it targets a larger number of fruit flies without relying on harsh chemicals that may not reach all the pests.

Birds are often averse to certain strong scents. For instance, the odor of predator urine, such as that from foxes or hawks, can deter them. Similarly, birds may dislike the pungent aromas of garlic, onions, and chili peppers. Essential oils like peppermint, eucalyptus, and citrus can also be effective in keeping birds away. However, it's important to note that individual bird species might react differently to these scents, so it might require some experimentation to find the most effective repellent for your specific situation.

Bleach and freezing are your best bets here. The soft exoskeleton of spiders and spider eggs is no match to household bleach. Create a mixture that’s half water and half bleach and spray it directly onto the egg sac, and the spider eggs will be killed in less than five minutes. Freezing the egg sac or drowning it in cold water is another option.
