"After contacting NW Natural Lighting, Dawn came to our house (on a weekend, which was nice) to do a consultation, explaining how solartubes work, helping us understand where and how they could have the most impact, and providing recommendations for where to install them and how many to install. Ours is a bit of an unusual case because we were installing the solartubes in bedrooms, but they explained that we could put dimmers in to close them at night. The installation had to be booked a month or two out because they're booked pretty far out, but the installers showed up on time and did a great job on the installation. I think our building is a little tricky to work with because the roof is pretty steep and the ceiling is lathe and plaster, but they got the solartubes in with only one extra hole in the ceiling (we pretty much end up with an extra hole in the wall or ceiling anytime anyone does work on our place). The additional light is great, and the fixtures blend in pretty well with the ceilings."

He explained everything step by step so I would understand how to add light fixtures and run lines to those light fixtures, Tyler went over various options of install and made sure I was comfortable with everything, very helpful and went the extra mile to satisfy our needs. "In our three bedrooms, Switch Electric installed new electrical ceiling boxes, appropriate controls, and ceiling fans (with lights). We also had them convert three outlets from being switched to unswitched. Also, in one room, we had them add a dimmer and a track lighting ceiling box. (We then installed the track lighting ourselves.) Additionally, per Redmond electrical code, then install arc-fault protection. The work required working in the attics. We supplied the fan/lights (from Seattle Lighting in Bellevue). They charged no dispatch fee and were in the middle on price compared to two other estimates. They were also the only one to include the legally required Redmond electrical inspection. On the workday, they arrived with a team of three in the morning. Their work was professional and neat. We noticed two small problems caused by miscommunications. They cheerfully come back for an hour and fixed the problems. The work passed Redmond inspectional easily. We love the fans and the lights and highly recommend Switch Electric."
