Arvid's Interiors and Design is locally owned and has been serving Chehalis and the surrounding communities since 1976. We offer all types of flooring including - carpet, luxury vinyl plank/tile, laminate, tile, and hardwood. Tile for showers and quartz surfaces. Window treatments, specifically Hunter Douglas. Custom draperies and upholstery, with hundreds of fabrics to choose from.

"Overall, the process went very well. The front office and the work teams communicated with us each step along the way. Through a back order and trying to coordinate plumbing, electrical, construction and the finishing crew things came together nicely. The work crew almost felt like family while they remodeled our kitchen. They followed up quickly after the job was completed to check on some questions we had. Our experience was very positive. Water-based polyurethane sealants emit fewer odors and fumes but dry quickly, which can pose a challenge when trying to get a smooth coat. Laminate is a sturdy material that lasts 15 to 25 years if it’s properly maintained and isn’t damaged. Laminate with a higher AC rating lasts longer than laminate with a lower AC rating. For the most longevity, put laminate with an AC1 rating in low-traffic areas and use laminate with an AC3 or AC4 rating in high-traffic areas like entryways.

When installing carpeting on your steps, start at the top and work your way to the bottom. That way, you can easily control the carpet and create a better seal. This approach prevents the carpet from bunching up or creating wrinkles as you work. You’ll have better leverage over it as gravity helps guide it down each step.
