Reglazing a bathtub is worth it if your current tub is in good condition and needs to be refinished or reglazed to bring it back to its shiny, smooth glory. While battered bathtubs might need to be refinished, bathtub refinishing is worth it, too, because it can make tubs with surface imperfections, shallow cracks and scratches, and staining look like new. Ventilating the bathroom during this time is key for safety. In comparison, it takes about four hours to install a new bathtub.
