"Insulation Northwest did a fantastic job insulating my 1944 house recently, with Drill & Fill in ground-floor walls never before insulated, plus a complete insulation of the second floor attics and interior walls. They were super-careful cutting and drilling my old cedar shakes, replacing them perfectly and caulking them afterwards. They worked around plants without damaging a thing while doing the walls outside. I have old lath and plaster walls but blowing in the fill left not even a hairline crack or any trace on the inside. Much appreciated! They spent two long days at my house and they were clean, friendly, professional, and helpful . This is my second time hiring Insulation Northwest and I give them my highest recommendation."

"Enrique and Alex performed the task. They were punctual, polite and very quiet, which I was very happy with. I expected the hose and insulation to have been noisy. Great job, thanks so much."

"I intended to insulate an one car garage and the attic of the whole house. They were prompt to provide an estimate and very professional and honest on suggesting best solution (ended up with not doing the attic for now). The job was completed fast and really happy with the result. The crew was friedly and respectfull. Kept the place clean after all the blow in insulation."

"I found that I needed far more work than anticipated due to the age and upkeep of the house, which was going to be significantly more expensive. The Angie's List deal wouldn't cover it, but I was not pressured to proceed with the pricier work. Simon agreed to do just the basic work during the time of the visit, and I will have him come back to do the more thorough job needed before the winter. He was patient and polite, and explained the situation to me in terms I could understand. Much appreciated."

"Golden Quality Builds did an incredible job with my home remodel. The house wasn't updated since the 80's and definitely was in need of an update. After getting a quote from the owner, Rafael Torres, we adjusted some pricing to make sure it fits within my budget and I gave him a time-line of when we can start the job. They completely updated the interior in four weeks. The communication was great, work was thorough, and still kept in touch after tge remodel was complete to ensure everything was up to my expectations. I will definitely use this company again for my next home remodel."

"Terence came and looked at our crawlspace, and told us we had post and beam construction, and described what they could do to insulate. We got two estimates from them (and another from a different company). We hired Hybrid. The crew was pleasant, hard working, and cleaned up when they were done. The work took longer than they predicted by a day, and the estimate was probably too low. They honored it. We'd hire them again in a minute."

"Overall, the job was well-done and seems to have solved the problem.  The coming winter months will tell.  We are not prepared to give 100% approval to the job until at least the winter has passed because of several problems we encountered:
The clean-out was incomplete and we had to call back the company to remove the last remnants of dirty insulation and rat droppings.  Even then, they did not do a complete job and we finished this phase ourselves.
The exclusion work was to included a new hatch cover which was done but it fits poorly.  Also, one small part of the space through which the rats had been gaining access was not sealed.
All these were brought to company's attention and they came back but addressed these only partially.  As we re-inspect this winter, we will know whether any of this is a continuing problem.  We are optimistic but cautiously so.

"From the initial messaging contact via Angie's List to the day construction was finished Jon Beecham was a complete pleasure to work with!  He replied quickly to my first message and he arrived on-time for our first meet-up to discuss my project.  Jon asked questions until he understood what I wanted built, he got an estimate back to me within 2 days and he let me know when my project would fit into his schedule.  His price was excellent and I liked that the materials and labor costs were clear.  He and his crew were punctual, worked hard all day and left the site spotless every evening before they left for the day.  Jon and crew finished the job in three days.  The patio covering looks great and the quality of workmanship is top-flight!  I love the patio covering and recommend Jon highly!"

"There is no written analysis after brief examination to the existing insulation in the attic. showed me expensive roof replacement and suggested 10 additional soffit under eaves would help reduce the heat concentration in the attic in the summer, but cost $75 a unit. Still, did not find the suitable handyman to add the additional soffits  per tech's suggestion.

FAQs for insulation service projects in Longbranch, WA

When choosing a professional insulation installer, consider asking these questions to determine the best fit.

  • Will you address air leaks in my house?

  • Can you provide an R-value (heat resistance) fact sheet?

  • What kind of insulation will work best for my home?

  • How do you handle signs of a water leak?

  • Are you licensed and insured?

  • Can you provide customer references?

The best type of insulation for your home depends on what you need, so the answer will depend on your specific situation. If you’re building a house, structural panels are easy to install during the building process in addition to being the most energy efficient type. If you live in a warm climate, reflective insulation may benefit you more as it costs less than other insulation types. And for standard attics, loose-fill, spray foam, or blown-in insulation work well.

If you plan to heat or cool your garage, you’ll need to insulate the garage ceiling. Insulating your garage ceiling will make your garage much more energy efficient and save on heating and cooling costs. Not only does insulation make your garage more energy efficient, it helps reduce noise and can extend the life of your garage roof. You can use fiberglass, cellulose, mineral wool, or spray foam insulation for this project.

In some cases, you may not have enough insulation to properly regulate your home’s temperature. Watch for a few signs your home needs more insulation, such as:

  • High heating and cooling bills

  • Uncomfortable room temperatures

  • Ice dams on the edge of your roof

  • Roof leaks

  • Cold floors and walls

  • Freezing pipes

  • Temperature fluctuations

  • Visibly low insulation

  • Noise problems

  • Pest problems

On average, insulating an attic costs about $2,500, ranging from $1,500 to $3,500, depending on the insulation type, amount, and your attic’s accessibility. Additional cost factors include sealing air leaks, removal or replacement of insulation, and inspections. Types of insulation include:

  • Blown-in: $1–$4 per square foot

  • Spray foam: $2–$5 per square foot

  • Batt: $2–$4 per square foot

  • Structural insulated panels: $4–$7 per square foot

  • Loose-fill: $2–$5 per square foot

  • Reflective: $0.50–$1.50 per square foot
