We had been without cooling since July 1, and it was over 3 weeks into a heat wave when work began. We had one other bid that was quite a bit higher for the work to be done. One other business failed to keep the appointment we made. Our systems were very old, and our heat pump was kablooey. One Hour got the A/C part installed and up in just a couple of days once work commenced. What a relief! We waited until September for the gas company to get a line to our house from the street, and a meter installed. Once that was finally done, One Hour got our gas furnace going in a couple of days. We had heat before the temperatures dipped at the end of the month. From the first person we talked to, through the person who tested the systems, we were very pleased to deal with such professional people. Thanks to Trevor, Tammy, Kevin, Jessica, Brandon, LeeAnn, Michelle, and Jose for your time and efforts to get us a nice system at a reasonable cost. It's nice to be comfortable again! The owner Mike promptly returned my call, gave me a quote, offered to find us storage space at a discount and provide packing help (only $15 per hour) if we needed it. They charged a reasonable price of $300 for the first two hours (included the truck, gas, mileage and movers) and $100/hr after that. In the end, the price paid was EXACTLY what they quoted initially! They wouldn't even let me pay them extra for dropping the unwanted items at Good Will. They didn't charge for the time or gas, etc. to get to the initial moving point either. Tia was the woman's name and she moved boxes and made sure all the dresser drawers were securely restrained. She kept track of what needed to be moved and checked in with me every 10 minutes or so. I had just had surgery and couldn't lift a thing. She was careful to make sure I, or my elderly mother, didn't try to help. The two movers were so careful with my mom's things and were strong enough they didn't even need to take the dresser drawers out! And my mom has some heavy antique pieces of furniture--it didn't phase them. They worked very fast and took just one 5 minute break in the whole 4 hours time. They moved everything in and didn't damage any furniture or walls. They said to call them for anything missed or further services needed; and they mentioned they could do small moves for my mom anytime (even moving furniture around the apartment), with no minimums. They also told us that they do clean-up services, general hauling and even take loads to the Good Will when needed. I was very impressed with their friendliness, the cost, their integrity and the fact they worked so hard through the entire move. They are not a large moving company and really brought local caring to the table. I believe they are a fairly new company and I hope they do very well. Since I live about 1.5 hours from my mom, I am thankful to know I can call them for small jobs and help when she needs it.

Gas Log Service reviews from real Angi homeowners in Kittitas, WA
They held a contest in the middle of winter to find the oldest furnace. I had no idea they were going to take my furnace apart. The contest was only for gas furnaces. What they did to my furnace is not normally a free service, but they did it for free...using a contest as a front. I am a...
Great service! They worked extremely hard removing our old furnace and installing the new one. They also worked closely with the electricians, installing our new central air conditioner. The air conditioning system works great! They will return to finish the furnace after the gas company does...

1. I was billed for work that was not done. I only asked after noticing that the area hadn’t been touched but the adjacent sections were painted. The owner confirmed that this was not done and took the charges off. 2. It was very difficult to get the breakdown of the amounts of each large...

Awesome! Tech was right on time and found the problem in 2 minutes. Showed the chewed wires to me as well a the blown fuse. He sealed up the gaps & cut outs at control board area with metal tape to avoid a repeat. Even answered my question about starting my gas fire place. I was so surprised...

Heating and air conditioning service, replacement and new construction
"I can't say enough about the integrity and honesty that Polar Heating and Air Conditioning displayed. I had another company in town tell me that my system needed to be replaced. I decided to get a second opinion and called these guys. Jason said my system didn't need to be totally replaced and that it was a simple/inexpensive fix. He could have told me I needed to replace my system but he was honest and cared about being upfront and making sure I wasn't taken advantage of. This company has earned my business for life!"

"I have been a faithful customer of Grassi’s for 5+ years. They’ve installed 3 systems for me and serviced 4. I am a small business owner in town and don’t take negative reviews lightly. As of today, Grassi has lost me as a loyal customer. Over the past 6 months we’ve had consistent issues with a couple systems (5+ call outs to 2 properties). To their credit, since the units are under warranty they say they will warranty the parts. Even still we are at $1,700+ costs thus far. Today, our tenant was cold and turned on the heater. It is 60 degrees outside. Grassi is charging for another callout as the units that they worked on within the month threw another code. Their technician, Cody, called us and told us that this is an operator error, blaming our tenant for their machine malfunction, as these are “not designed to heat when the temperature outside is above 60”. These are the only heat source for the house as recommended and installed by Grassi. What is our tenant supposed to do? I don’t believe this is an engineering issue as I have more faith in Carrier (the brand installed) or my tenant, who deserves to be comfortable. My take is that this was either poorly installed or poorly recommended. When asking more questions Cody, the technician, told us that we knew nothing about refrigeration and hung up on us."

FAQs for gas log service projects in Kittitas, WA
A gas log fireplace should be inspected and serviced as needed once a year. Preventative maintenance can help keep your fireplace in working condition and save money in the long run by avoiding more costly repairs on parts that could have been fixed sooner with a regular inspection.
The cost difference between a gas fireplace and a wood-burning fireplace depends on the type of wood-burning fireplace installed. The cost to install a gas fireplace tends to be cheaper than the cost to install a brick wood-burning fireplace. Installing a gas fireplace costs about $3,600 on average, whereas the cost to build a masonry wood-burning fireplace can go up to $30,000. The cost to install a wood-burning fireplace insert or stove can cost from $700 to $6,500, about the same as a gas fireplace on average.
The cost to repair a fireplace depends on the type, extent of repairs needed, and your location. The average cost to repair a fireplace varies depending on the part of the fireplace that needs work:
Firebox: $160–$2,500
Refractory panel: $200–$300
Hearth: $150–$800
Mantel: $500–$1,200
Pilot light: $100–$350
Igniter: $100–$150
Gas valve: $150–$300
Thermocouple: $75–$350
Thermopile: $75–$350
Yes, it can be worth installing a gas fireplace, depending on your home heating needs. The cost to install a gas fireplace can be much lower than the cost to install a comparable wood-burning fireplace. The convenience of starting a fire with the flip of a switch and turning it off just as quickly makes a gas fireplace a big time saver over starting and maintaining a wood-fueled fire. A gas fireplace also does not require ash cleanup or frequent chimney cleaning to remove creosote and other buildup that can lead to chimney fires. Gas fireplaces burn and heat much more cleanly than wood fireplaces.
A gas fireplace insert costs about $3,600 to install, on average. The cost to install a gas log insert ranges from about $700 to $6,500, depending on the size, type of insert, how it works, and heating needs. Gas fireplaces need electrical and gas lines installed properly, so hiring a pro is recommended rather than trying to DIY installation.
