Chris was on time and did a great job rehabbing our old girl. He found the issue, got her to start, and then painted the firebox, cleaned the glass, and vacuumed everything. I swear, our (pretty old) Heat-n-Glow looks like new and better yet, she works perfectly.

Technician was right on time and very neat. Very thorough and professional work, including detailed, written summary of all work and status of both fireplaces. Very reasonable cost ($220 w/o tax). Technician happy to answer all my questions. Definitely will use again.

Chris showed up promptly on time. Adjusted the gas / air mixture on two separate fireplaces and cleaned the soot from logs and glass enclosure. Both fireplaces look and function fantastically. Chris was very pleasant and professional and was very careful not to soil our white carpet while cleaning both fireplaces. I would definitely use this service again and highly recommend Chris.

The technician was prompt and he knew right away what was wrong with the starter. He cleaned both fireplaces and they looked like new.

It went perfectly. Timely, professional, and my fireplace looked brand new when finished. Clean glass, freshly painted interior, dust all removed. My carpet was covered for the workspace needed, no sign of anyone having been here other than my fireplace looked amazing!

I needed a fan because there was none and the mantle would get hot. Chris provided two options for the fan. I chose the adjustable one. Chris was exactly on time, came in and had everything scoped out right away, and fixed within 30 minutes. He also advised me on the health of the system, and that he felt it was in good shape despite it's age and lack of maintenance. The pricing was completely reasonable, and we're very pleased!! Repairman arrived promptly as scheduled and was able to find problem areas quickly. He repaired the broken switch and replaced the broken fan with a part that had been left with the original installation.

I have used this company before and have been well pleased. Called their company phone and talked to a nice lady and told her of the need I had and she said that they had had a cancellation the next day which was perfect. Asked me if I also need Christopher to also go through the fireplace and make sure every thing was fine and I said yes, He had been out about 18 months earlier to replace a part that was not working anymore so it was a good idea while he was here to have him go ahead and do the regular maintenance. Expert, congenial service, well priced and a pleasure to do business with. I would definitely use the company again.

The service was more than worth cost. Had a lot more done than Got a lot for the money and learned a ton about our fireplace and how to use it safely and effectively. The work was done on time and in a timely manner. I feel so much better now that I've had someone look at it and tune it up. We will enjoy our fireplace so much more now.

Realized I hadn't had my gas insert looked at for 3 years! Decided to get it done now. Called Wednesday and scheduled appointment for Friday at 3:30. Pleased that I didn't have to wait long for the appointment. Afternoon of appointment their office called indicating tech was running early and would it work with my schedule for him to come early. Very professional. The tech is very thorough...goes about his business. Doesn't just talk to be talking even though I was sitting in the room. But he will engage in conversation when you talk to him or ask a question. For the last 8 years Northwest Gas Fireplace Service have done my gas insert maintenance and cleaning and I have always been pleased. The technician even recalled a time from several years back when he was here and a furniture store person was here looking at some furniture I had purchased.....so he remembers his customers which is nice.

I called NW Gas Fireplaces because our 25 year old house built-in gas fireplace hadn't worked for a year, and I wanted to fix it or buy a new one. Making the appointment was easy, Chris came promptly to give us an estimate in writing. We scheduled the work and he arrived promptly with everything he needed to do the job. He worked steadily and called us in to show us the completed work. I was amazed at how much better it looked, and even happier when it ignited at first push of the button. I have had three other companies over the last three years to try and fix it. Chris diagnosed it correctly, bought the appropriate part, disassembled it, and rebuilt it to perfect working order. We are so glad to have our gas fireplace back. We use it for an hour in the morning to take the chill off the kitchen/family room area. It saves us lots of heating costs. Our gas fireplace had been having issues--the gas log wouldn't light consistantly and the fan was extremely loud. I contacted NW Gas Fireplace mentioning the issues we were having and asking about cost and availability. Bonnie responded quickly letting me know that probably our fireplace probably just needed a maintenance and cleaning and the cost. We set the appointnment, about a week and a half after--I named the date based on my availability. Chris the tech arrived right on time, which was refreshing. I can't begin to tell you how many contractors of all different types of trades over the years have arrived late, so I was so impressed that this wasn't the case with NW Gas Fireplace. He quickly determined our issues--yes the fireplace needed a cleaning, desperately--and the fan was noisy because when it was installed the installer had put it in backwards. The backwards fan meant that when turned on it was blowing cold air. Also because of the error installation, the motor for the fan had been damaged and we needed a new one. He was able to give us three options for new fans all of which he had with him. He replaced the fan and was out the door quickly and efficiently. As a side note, we had just brought home a new puppy just a few days before our appointment with NW Gas Fireplace. Chris was unflappable when our puppy began to whine and cry at being unhappy about being put in her pen. We are very happy with their service. I didn't rate pricing above only because we didn't actually get estimates from other providers so we don't know if what we paid was within "market" pricing for the work. The cost for the work seemed reasonable to us though.

I had to wait about three weeks for an appointment, but it was well worth the wait. I half expected NW Gas fireplace to forget about my appointment since it was made three weeks prior. However, on the day of the appointment, I got a call from their office saying the technician was running ahead of schedule and asked if it was ok for him to come early. I appreciated being asked, not told. Chris, the technician arrived early, was polite, professional and courteous. The fireplace had a simple fix, Chris explained the problem and corrected the issue. Chris then cleaned the fireplace, replaced the "embers" and respray painted the inside of the fireplace. Chris went above and beyond for a price that was well below what I was expecting. This was my first time working with this company, it was a good experience, and the job was an easy fix. The remote control on our gas fireplace was not working, so -horror of horrors- we had to actually get up and go over to the fireplace to turn it on and off;-) When I called to ask for service, I explained the issue and the gal explained that their service appointments were running about 2 weeks out...yikes! Well, it's the beginning of the heating season, and it was not anywhere near an emergency, so I set up an appointment. Chris showed up 5-10 minutes early, and was very professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem-said the receiver on the remote had gone bad- and he went to see if he had a new one in his van. He did (yay). He installed that, I paid him and the remote now works like a charm. I thought about giving a B for price because $89.00 for a half hour service call...ouch. But I decided against it because I know 1/2 hour on my end doesn't take into consideration any of their operating costs.
