"The proces of introdusing solar to me and how it works was well explained, and they took note of my thoughts and consernes as well. They are very polite and very accurate with their work. They explain the cost and the what -fores, and the financing. They are very professional and kind. They know their stuff!!! and they do it well. They make their work look good. I own my own home, and I did most of the work myself so I can realy appreciate the work they are doing. My job is battery backed and I will have power when the grid is down. On the news we are hearing -- more and more about large area black outs because of over use and lack of care of the grids!! Well, do we need to be hit between the eyes to wake up and do what we need to do for our homes and OUR FAMILYS for the Near Future!!!!! Yes!!!! Near FUTURE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY SINCERE THANK YOU) for the Sunstone Solar Crew and their punctial job well done and I mean well DONE !! Have the POWER when you need it!! Start Now***** I DID"

Emergency services offered

"We had purchased a big deal for the service, and it went good. They were not able to honor the coupon just yet, because I had them come and look at a system that already had a problem,  so I am going to end up using that coupon in September or October, and have them look at my heating and AC system. They were overall good."

"This company is awesome. I called quite a few electricians as I had an immediate need to repair damage from the recent freak snowstorm. Most companies laughed when I said I needed it done within a couple of days...Kenny at Kan-Dho jumped right on it and seemed happy to do so!! Will always turn here first for all future needs!! THANK YOU!!"

Solar Panels questions, answered by experts

There are a few great questions to ask a solar contractor or inspector when you speak to them. You’ll probably want to find out about the energy yield and efficiency of your array, ensuring the actual output matches the amount you calculated when installing the array in the first place. It’s also a good idea to find out about any damage or wear and tear on the array and to inquire about how soon you need to make repairs or replacements to essential components.

On average, a typical fridge uses 115 kWh per month. With eight hours of sunlight per day, a 100-watt solar panel can produce 30 kWh per month. This means you’ll need at least four dedicated panels to power the refrigerator with solar energy. Consult with a solar power specialist to get a more accurate estimate.

  • Installing a new electrical meter box

  • Replacing your meter base

  • Replacing your service entrance cable

The cost to install or upgrade an electrical meter box ranges from $100 to $650, including $50 to $250 for the unit. The meter base passes the power from your electric company to your panel. The cost to replace a meter base is roughly $50 to $250.

Service entrance cables are electrical cables with multiple wires, bringing power from electrical companies to residential buildings. The cost to replace a service entrance cable ranges roughly from $1,000 to $1,500.

In most states, solar installers need to be licensed and insured as solar professionals, although some states don’t have specific requirements for installers. You can use our state licensing tool to check if an installer you’re considering hiring holds the proper licensing. No matter where you live, a member of your solar panel installation company must be a certified electrician to connect your panels to your home and the electric grid.

As long as your solar panels are properly installed without damage to your roof, they will not shorten the roof’s life span. Solar panels can act as a cover or barrier to your roof and help block external elements, such as debris, heat, and UV rays. Reduced exposure to the weather can extend your roof’s life.
