I really do like to think of myself as a jack of all trades kind of guy. I can do anything with my truck. Including hauling, loading, and dumping. Basic Handyman skills which include drywall, plumbing, electrical, and appliances. Anything involving wood is a specialty of mine. If thats anything from chopping or cutting wood to restoring and building wood furniture. I just started going out on my own and trying to make a name for myself. Staying humble with the process, but guarantee customer satisfaction at all cost. I'm a people person, enjoy my interactions more than the average person. Even if I'm offered an odd job to do, I'll make sure to get it done, and still enjoy the process. Thank you.

I do all phases of drywall work from hanging to taping to texturing. I specialize in doing remodels and patchwork and I am a one man show I do it all myself. Unless it too much than I can pull others to help. I have been in business for 4 years and enjoy doing drywall.

"Great! Scott did a quality job and was very easy to work with. The best part was that he was very clear in his pricing, itemizing every invoice and reviewing it with us before every payment that was due."

1. 40+ years experience in Drywall installation and repair 2. I have no employees. When I take on a job I stick with it until it is done, I do not come and go to "tie up jobs" for myself. 3. My fees range from $35-45/hr plus cost of materials and mileage. Bids available if requested. 4. I will send the customer an itemized billing by mail, I expect full payment by check or cash within 3 weeks of the receipt of billing. 5. I do mainly small jobs, repairs or small additions 6. I'm open to "Handyman" jobs

Drywall questions, answered by experts

There is no way to cut drywall without making dust, but you can reduce the amount of dust and especially the dangerous airborne particles by using manual cutting tools. Using a utility knife to score and snap your drywall will minimize dust production, and a jab saw for cutting cutouts for boxes and fixtures will generate almost no airborne dust. Even if you use these methods, you should still wear a respirator and safety goggles to avoid damage to your lungs and eyes.

You should start looking for a drywall installer by choosing a local company with positive online reviews and ratings with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Next, confirm that the professional is properly licensed using Angi’s contractor licensing tool, and ask the installer if they are fully insured. It’s a good idea to ask for recent customer references and call them to get their honest opinion about the contractor and their work. You can also ask the installer if they guarantee their work or provide a workmanship warranty.

A jigsaw is commonly used to cut holes in drywall. It offers versatility and precision, making it suitable for creating circular or irregular openings. When equipped with the right blade, a jigsaw can swiftly and cleanly cut through drywall, making it a good choice for DIY projects.

You should leave a gap between drywall sheets because they naturally expand and contract along with the building framing as temperature and humidity change. Most pro drywall installers leave a gap of about ⅛ inch between drywall sheets, allowing the sheets to expand, contract, and shift without cracking or becoming damaged. If you don’t leave enough gaps between slabs, the edges will press against each other when they expand, and the pressure can cause visible cracks.

Drywall mudding can be done in one day if the project is small and the desired effect isn’t too complex. If you need multiple layers of mud, one day may not be realistic. But a single room that requires little more than joint compound on the seams and screws can be done in a day or two.
