"I had Eric from Hammered LLC come and re hang some interior doors, secure kitchen cabinets and re case my windows and doors another contractor did that I wasn't to happy with. Eric was very professional and didn't bad mouth the other contractor's work or pick it apart. He understood the job at hand better than the other "contractor" and had the patience to deal with a mess someone else left behind. I will be calling Eric to work on ALL my rentals from now on!"

"A delivery truck backed up too far into a loading dock on our business property damaging the wall and causing the overhead door to be inoperable. We had difficulty finding a competent contractor to take on this repair. Within a few days of contacting Tom, he visited the property and had an estimate prepared. We had some concerns about the large amount of deposit that he required. He did explain that obtaining a large deposit has become commonplace among contractors in the area so they will be paid. So we went ahead and sent him a check for the deposit. Once he had received the payment, he started the work within a couple of days and was completely finished in less than two weeks. He kept us informed along the way of his progress. The cost of the repairs seemed reasonable under the circumstances. I would not hesitate to use Tom again."

"My elderly father, who felt pressured by the salesman went with new siding. Only one worker showed up though the whole process. He doesn't pay any attention to detail. We now have gaps, and tons of caulking everywhere because he doesn't use a tape measure. We found our TV antenna in the scap pile. And the huge issue is he just laid over our rotten siding and studs and called it good. All the sheets of plywood to replace the rot is now going back. "The project was essentially a remodel of a circa 1950's beach cabin with a small addition. We chose Baker and Son on the recommendation of our neighbor who had used them to build a detached garage. Our plans were relatively simple at first: build the addition, expand the kitchen, build a new bathroom and create a new entry. As work was underway, it became clear through the advice of Baker and Son that our kitchen was too big and out of scale for the cabin. We ended up eliminating some walls and opening up the cabin in such a way that created one large room but still a separate kitchen, dining and living. It was a huge improvement to the original design. In addition to the interior work, Baker and Son completely overhauled the exterior which included new windows and siding. New structural headers were required because they didn't exist. Also, since the cabin is post and pier construction, they leveled and strengthen the existing structure. Work included new skirting as well. Their attention to detail was very impressive. They are masters at creative problem solving, patient, responsive and positive. They have a very strong sense of design. We were never pressured into quick decisions. The contract arrangement for our project was essentially time and material because formulating a bid on an old cabin remodel would involve too many unknowns. We agreed to a fair hourly rate and all material and subcontracted work we paid directly with no additional overhead or fee. This saved us money. Since we lived out of town, Baker and Son were so well connected with various vendors and subcontractors, it simplified making arrangements. Now that our project is complete, we are so excited about the end result! We would highly recommend using Baker and Son Construction for any project."
