They had someone drive out immediately (my home is in a VERY remote location), and Marqus arrived by 3pm. The issue was fixed by 3:45pm. EMC Electric has been a cornerstone of the Northwest Washington community for over 27 years. As a locally owned and operated business, we take pride in providing exceptional electrical services to our neighbors. Our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction has earned us a reputation as the go-to electrical experts in the region.

"They ran into some weird problems with my old 1978 ground wires and ancient fuse box. Didnt slow 'em down. They had the whole thing ripped out, replaced with a better one, rotohammered and re-grounded my house, showed and told me what they were doing and what to expect. They worked with me to get my estimate to what made the most sense. Advised about fixtures and future proofing. 11/10 Mike an Nick were great. So good in fact, I'm setting up some more work. They were experienced, they were nice (fun even!)and no egos! Thats an almost impossible combo."

Can handle any size project big or small. Residential, commercial, or industrial. Owner operated personable business. No large company shenanigans. After working for someone else for over 12 years, leaving a trail of happy customers along the way, I decided to start my own business in 2022. Give me a call and lets talk about your project!

"Dylan is a great electrician. He’s a hard worker who knows what he’s doing. You would be very fortunate if you can hire him as your electrician. I’ve rehired him to do another project."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

The basic cost to install a ceiling fan ranges from $145 to $355 and averages $250. If the installation has higher demands, such as new or complex wiring, your bill will likely be on the higher end. Other factors, such as an included light kit, installing switches, and ease of access can also affect the final cost.

The ceiling box should have an inscription stating that it supports the operation of the ceiling fan. If it’s not included, you should purchase a fan-rated junction box and a fan brace so you can install the box between joists, where it’ll provide the most support for the fan’s weight.

In short, no. You can use the square footage range chart in this article to determine the right size ceiling fan for both indoor and outdoor spaces. However, weather elements can damage types of ceiling fans that aren't designed for outdoor use, so your ceiling fan should be weather-resistant if you plan to install it outside.

There are several telltale signs to let you know that your ceiling fan needs servicing or replacement. For instance, if it’s wobbling, rotating too slowly, or if your ceiling fan is making noise such as squeaks, buzzes, and thumps, it’s time to have it looked at by a professional. Not only may it indicate a potential problem with the fan itself, but it could also signal a red flag that it’s improperly assembled or there’s an issue with the wiring.

Ceiling fan installation costs can vary widely based on factors such as the height of the ceiling, whether there's existing wiring, and local labor rates. Generally, one should pay between $100 and $300 for professional installation.
