"It was an exceptional experience to work with this company. They provided carpet samples that were superior to others I looked at. The installation was seamless. I love my carpet and am very happy I did business with them. Im about to carpet another area and Im calling them for my quote."

"Adam's crew did a quick and painless estimate first. We had coordinated via phone and Angie's List and it was all good. On the day of work, Adam's crew made quick work of stretching the lumpy carpet in our master bedroom suite. They were quick, professional, and on budget. Easy.

"Work was done more quickly than I expected, about three hours as I recall.  It takes me at least 2 hours to vacuum the entire house.  Carpets looked a bit better, and in their defense the carpets are eight years old, but I expected a bit more.  Now a few weeks after, they look as they did before. They forgot the Scotchguard so we had to reschedule that, but they were very apologetic.  The two young men who did the shampooing were very professional and polite, and I had no qualms about leaving them in the house when we left.  I called them last week to let them know my concerns. They sent a gentleman out, who also was very professional, and he redid the areas of concern and they do look quite a bit better.  Overall I would give them a B+.

"We ordered the items and they came in approximately when expected. Set up installation date with a 4 day estimated completion time. Crew arrived on time and worked 9-11 hours each day. Installer advised we needed $5200 worth of sub flooring after the original estimate had been done. He cut the carpet to show me so it's not like we could say no at that point. I contacted estimator and asked why this was never mentioned before job started. No definitive answer but price on subfloor was cut to approx. $2500.
The job took more than twice as long as expected. The quality of the installation was VERY good. The biggest problem is that we have been waiting weeks to have the transition moldings installed to finish the job. They received incorrect amount of moldings the first order, there was a lack of communication between sales and installation departments with 1 saying 1 thing and the other having a different story. This has been going on for weeks now. Apparently the moldings are in now but the installer is on another job in Kent and sales department has not been able to co-ordinate a time when he can finish the job. Moldings came in Thursday
it's Saturday today and no word ?
We were offered the choice of doing the job piece meal or waiting until all items were in stock. We chose the latter.
The job will eventually get done and I am sure to our satisfaction but very frustrating that they can not get their act together.

Finally the job has been completed Oct 16/2014. Looks great but not worth the stress.

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

While it's possible to cover asbestos tile with carpet, it's not recommended. Encapsulating tile beneath carpet doesn't eliminate the health risks. Over time, the asbestos tiles could degrade, releasing fibers into the air and potentially contaminating the carpet. Disturbance during carpet installation or removal might also release fibers.

A transition piece between carpet stairs and wood flooring isn't always necessary. A transition piece separates two types of flooring in between rooms and areas, like carpet and vinyl. Because the carpet on the stairs tucks into the seam, you can’t see the fringes, and there is no need to hide anything. However, you can use a stair cap if your stairs have a nose.

Carpet glue is very sticky, but it's not permanent. The glue usually lasts as long as a typical carpet installation, which is five to 15 years. For the best results, you should always use the right type of carpet glue for the area you're using it in. There are carpet glues for high-traffic areas, which are more high-quality and durable than others.

Carpet installers use furniture sliders or blankets to protect your furniture during the installation process. They handle each piece with care to minimize the risk of damage. Additionally, they may employ techniques such as lifting and shifting furniture rather than dragging it across the floor to prevent scratches or other marks. If you have particularly delicate or heavy items that need to be moved, discuss special handling with the installers beforehand.

Decent carpet will last around 10 years on stairs. Some less durable carpets, like polyester, will only last five years on stairs. The ideal carpet, like wool or nylon, can last about 15 to 25 years. You’ll know when to replace it when it starts wearing down. You may have to replace it sooner if it's stained, whether due to water damage or pets.
