Many never returned my calls for a bid, one never showed up for a scheduled bid and another showed up two hours late and gave me his quote, and when I asked for it in writing he just wrote a dollar figure down on the back of his business card that was $200 less then his original quote. They had a portfolio of past work I could look at. An they gave me a professional written estimate that had a breakdown of the job and it s costs. I got a call from ACS a week later and said they had an unexpected opening that day if I was interested. They came out, removed sod, put up the forms and poured the concrete all in one day.
