I was informed at the time of service that the charge for removing the leaf guards was not $50 (per the Angie's big deal) but $50 per RUN of gutters (I had four, two on the house and two on the garage). We settled on $100 extra rather that $200.  The guys offered to replace a seal on two vent pipes on the roof at $89 each.  I thought the price was too high and declined.

"Pretty darn smooth! On the day they scheduled to start, they were here at 7:50 a.m., and on my roof by 8 a.m. They had a crew of five and kept hard at it for several days until complete and cleaned up (they also did a basic clean up at the end of each day prior). There was a price adjustment upon confirmation of additional plywood required, but it was reasonable and discussed in advance during the estimate. The gutter crew showed up the next day after the roof was finished and removed old / installed new seamless gutters with additional downspouts for proper drainage. I'm happy with the work performed and the price paid."

I have never hired a contractor without first checking Angie's List but I decided to this time because of Mr. Sweitzer's professional demeanor. He thoroughly explained the process of replacing the shingles and pipe collars and answered all of my questions. There was no pressure for an immediate decision. I thought the price was outstanding! He does not sub-contract out his work so his price is better compared to others who sub-contract their work. We set a date and time for the work to be done. Mr. Sweitzer and his crew showed up on time. Naturally, I didn't go up on the roof to check the replaced shingles but I feel very confident the work was professionally performed as I expected. Lastly, there were no additional unexpected costs.
