"We needed our shower valve assembly replaced because it failed to control the temperature and had a leak. A young gentleman named Ben from A-1 came in (12/23/2022) and started working on it. He was very friendly. He respected our habit of not wearing shoes inside the house even though I told him it was not necessary to remove his shoes. While he was working, we talked about how plumbing skills were acquired and how long one needed to learn before he could become a certified plumber, soccer world cup, rockets to the moon etc. When he told me he needed to remove a piece of wood behind the drywall for proper installation, I was concerned about the structural loading issues. He quickly found another way of fixing the problem even though it must have taken him longer to finish the job that way. After checking that piece of wood later, I found him to be completely right in that no structural damage would have been done by removing that piece of wood. He did a excellent job. Both my wife and I liked this young man and his work ethic. I would recommend to anyone to use A-1 without hesitation.

"The team was there a few minutes earlier than scheduled, performed initial inspection, gave us a clear and concise explanation of what was needed and how it would be performed. The communication kept going all throughout the job. "The repairman was nice and explained what could happen if the pipes had to be taken apart. However he did a simple snake in the sink drain which took a very short time. I thought the $350 price he quoted me was IF the pipes had to be taken apart which they did not. So I had to pay $350 less a $40 coupon from Angie's List. Roto-Rooter local manager did call when I complained about the price and offered a $35 credit which of course, I never received. There is a six month warrenty on the work but $350 is still a very high "flat" rate for a simple drain snake.
