The way this company left my ceiling made it so I have to pay extra out of pocket for repairs. The manager claims they do not have to cut “clean” they just remove it. Well now I have companies who do not want to repair my ceiling because of how jacked up it is and this company doesn’t care. They also refuse to help me because their plumber was “unable to find the source of the leak” when another company found it in 10 minutes. Also out of my pocket. Don’t use this company for water damage/leaks unless you want to have to deal with Tons of additional issues.

Do not use Roto-Rooter if you are unable to double check their work. Avoid if you are disabled, elderly, etc. They will take advantage of you! Avoid if you are military, they don’t want to honor the military discount they quoted me. After a “two hour job” turned into a two day nightmare (leaving us without a toilet in our 1-bathroom house) dealing with inexperienced technicians with improper tools, they finally finished. Before I would pay, I double checked their work in the crawlspace and found that they damaged a section of my HVAC ducts. They were going to leave without saying anything! Luckily, I was in the process of selling and just had a home inspection, so I had proof that it wasn’t already damaged. They tried to deny responsibility! After Roto-rooter agreed to reimburse me, I spent over $1,000 to repair the hvac ducts. I was then told that they would only reimburse me the difference of what I owed them. Then weeks later I was told I wouldn’t be reimbursed as much as they quoted because I “waived” my military discount when I refused to pay. If they don’t at least send me the difference between what they quoted me and the cost of the HVAC repair then they are thieves. But, after all of my lost time and money, a company that cares would be compensating me the full cost of the damage and waiving their cost. I’ve given them well over a month to make this right before leaving a review and they haven’t. They’ve told me a check should be coming soon, but It’s been weeks and I have not received any reimbursement, nor do they consistently respond when I ask for updates. I’ll continue to update this review if things change.

Work was done expeditiously from the roof vent line. $425 for 1/2 hour work seemed a tad excessive.

I am amending a review that I submitted for the work of Ernie on June 18, 2018. Turns out, the leak wasn't fixed. The closet and utility/laundry area again are wet. He put silicone on piping for the shower, the shower has not been used since the date of the repair. The water is/was coming from elsewhere. I am disappointed. We are going to have them come back out in the morning.

The technician replaced my top of the line shower head with a funky, ghetto shower head. It took him less than ten minutes. He charged me 260.00 for ten minutes of labor and a poor, cheap quality shower head. The charge was absolutely unreasonable and I now have a shower head with low pressure - the problem that I was trying to fix. Without telling me he replaced the shower head with a water saver shower head - one of the cheapest around. I fixed the shower head because I am selling my house and the buyer noticed the low pressure on the shower head during the final walk through and asked to have it fixed prior to closing. If the shower head was of high quality, I would have had an easier time accepting the outrageous charge. The service technician wore his boots into my shower and turned on the shower. I had to get a towel for him to clean off his boots. His actions showed that he had little regard for my home or my possessions. He should have worn protective booties before he entered my home. This transaction was highway robbery.

well. Roots were removed. While there was another clog about a week later, this appeared more a function of a toilet with inadequate flow to pass along the sewage, I could clear out the blockage with a snake and a plunger and correct the flow problem with the toilet. Serviceman offered a more extensive (and expensive) plan that was declined. He still had suggestions for preventive maintenance that I could do myself.

On time as promised and corrected problem

Mike (703) was our technician for the job and he was very professional and efficient. We called at about 2PM and the coordinator told us that a technician would arrive between the hours of 4PM and 8PM. Mike showed up around 6PM and finished close to 7PM. We had this blockage issue before and snaked it ourselves but since it happened again, we decided to let a professional take care of it. The price was about average but the Angie's List coupon saved us $40. Mike cleared up the clog and told us that his work was guaranteed for up to 6 months. Overall, it went great.

The price was a little steep. The quality was good. They called a flooding specialist because I needed to have my ceiling fixed. She was at my door in 10 minutes without me even knowing. She was really pushy, so I just said goodbye. One was mentoring the other one. I didn't think they were going to find the problem, but towards the end they did. It took about 20 minutes. They cleaned up very well. It was done properly I guess.

Technician claim my pipes needed to be changed for 6,000.00. Plus he told us if we could move some money around to pay the amount.

Roto-Rooter was the only plumbing company I have ever had to call. The technician responded that same day. He was very professional, and got right to work, explaining what he was doing as he went. It made quite a mess when he used the auger to clear the blockage, much more than a "normal" clog would, because the line was plugged with instant mashed potatoes (Now I know not to do that again). In the end he had to come back with a special tool to clean out the drain, but it worked and the sink is as good as new now. The "B" for quality was because it made a horrible mess when he used the drain auger on the line. He cleaned most of it up, but left more than I should have expected for me to clean after he had gone. Also, the price was at the high end of what the price guide said to expect, even after he gave me a discount for having to leave and come back the next day.

Fine, arrived on time and did through job

Steve was great. He was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. He reassured me that he would fix everything. I couldn't have asked for anyone better and will recommend him and Roto rotor to all my friends. I will have him come back anytime I need plumbing repairs.

They did a great job and he cleaned up after the repair.

Was not very happy with them. I had them out six months prior, and they failed to fixed it. They came back out, and then fixed it, but charged me, because it had been six months. Simply because they do quality work, but it took them a second time to do so. The price is also a reason. They are pretty punctual. Basically, they can respond to an emergency call, but the quality of work does not meet expectation. No problems with cleanliness.

They are very responsive and professional: the dispatcher calls promptly after the initial appointment is made and lets you know that a technician is on his way (whether the technician arrives exactly when scheduled is another matter). I've never known them to do less than competent work. Their prices are in the mid to high range, but that's understandable given their superior service; on two occasions they didn't charge me for their time/trouble when, for different reasons, we decided not to proceed with the work in question.

Snaked clean-out. Very easy job as the clean-out was in the slab floor. Took about 30 minutes and paid over $300.

I am so pleased with the work and service that I received from Roto Rooter. I discovered a leak on Friday morning and made an appointment for the following Monday -- so we had to wait three days with a leak in our dining room. That company never showed up, so I called several others. They either did not return my call, or were not available that day. When I called Roto Rooter they had someone there within about two hours. As I also had plaster damage, they sent a water damage restoration worker as well. They were both from Roto Rooter, which made coordinating with both of them very easy and really lowered my stress about the entire situation. All three gentlemen were professional, friendly, and easy to get in touch with, even after normal work hours. Next time I need a plumber I will definitely call them first.

Everything went very smoothly. Our old kitchen faucet was leaking and we decided it would be a good time to replace it with a new one. We bought a new faucet on Monday and then scheduled an appointment for Tuesday morning. The company called us a half hour before the technician arrived to let us know he was on the way. He showed up, we told him what we wanted done, he gave us a written estimate, we accepted and he got to work. Before long he had the new faucet connected and running and we were very pleased with the job he did. I've been using Roto-Rooter for years and would recommend them to anyone.

Excellent! Mike (tech #703) arrived earlier than expected, was friendly & professional, and resolved the problem. He took the time to explain to me what the problem was & what he needed to do to fix it. He told me the cost upfront & after I agreed, he got right to work. He cleaned up the area he was working in when he was done. Although I know Roto-Rooter may be more expensive than other places, I would definitely use them again & request Mike. I like that I was able to get same day service & the problem was resolved.
