Economy Propane

As always, the propane was delivered on time. We got a response from Doug within a day.

I called and, like the previous reviewer, was told Economy is not taking new customers. (January 2018).

Called and person answered was polite and professional but would not even discuss it, would not give a price or price/gal, they were too busy. They said to call back next week. I called a second time the following Monday and got the same response. I will admit - It was a cold spell in the winter, but was surprised. Apparently they are at max capacity with current customers. I went with a different company.

They came to fill the tank promptly.

Extremely pleased. Office staff very responsive-- returned all phone calls/ emails same day. Very professional. Arrived on time, installed and filled new tanks. Area was cleaned of all debris. Entire process was explained prior to installation.

Very well. Representative was well informed and helpful. Showed me what I needed to know and answered all my questions.

Good. They had to make two trips though. One to drop off the tank and another to fill it. They never did touch base with us to notify us that they had filled the tank fully nor coordinate the visit. Still overall not too bad. They did do a decent job answering questions and gave me an opportunity to review the contract before delivering the gas.

They got back to me quickly had someone out to fill fireplace propane in a few days. Quick and professional.

Economy Propane sent out a technician within two days to help restart and check the system at no charge, then sent a truck by to refill our tank the next day. There was no hassle with the initial setup or subsequent refills.

The installation went well and I would use the company again. Only issue is the conduit for the copper tubing does not cover the entire length and there is copper tubing exposed on both ends. This could have easily been done properly.

Better than expected. The delivery person showed up after hours; was in uniform and was extremely polite and helpful. Were I not converting to natural gas, I would certainly use this company again.

We'd been in touch with Economy Propane after the purchase of a house, as we were getting quotes for future service. Little did we know, we were almost empty. A few weeks later upon realizing that we had no propane remaining (meaning no hot water, etc), I called Economy Propane on a Saturday or Sunday morning in a bit of a panic. They were very responsive and sent one of their drivers out even though he'd completed his work day. We hadn't yet been set up in their system, so the gentleman walked me through the form I needed to complete so we could get our service started right away. Everyone is very kind, responsive and eager to help! Just a simple operation, no fast talking sales pitches or pressure.

WOW!!! I have rarely had such amazing experience from any company, and I was just floored by the professionalism, excellent price, and unbelievable service. It turned out I didn't check my propane level prior to the holiday weekend. I looked online to see if anyone provided on call service on such short notice. I called Economy Propane on Thanksgiving morning and Doug answered. I explained our situation and he made it a priority to get me in just after the holiday with a great price. First thing Saturday morning they showed up and refilled the tank. They even called the evening prior to confirm they would be coming out the following morning. I've seen and heard terrible reviews about other companies promising to set up service, skipping appointments, etc. Recommend no one goes to any other propane company other than Economy Propane. Because of the exceptional service I immediately set up the auto fill plan. I won't go anywhere else. Thanks Doug and company!!

We don't have automatic delivery, we like to call in the order as needed so we can time the fill ups at the best time of year for pricing. We usually do a spring/summer fill and then call in an order around Sept 15th before the automatic price increases on Oct 1st for the winter season. The first two years in our home we would call around to all the companies shopping for the best price, Economy was always the winner so now we just go straight to them.

They were great, on time and affordable.

They showed up on time and installed a new propane tank. In addition, they checked for leaks indoors and verified the kitchen stove functioned. Prompt and professional service.

Economy Propane has had the best price each time we've called around for a refill, $2.45 per gallon July 2014. They also have no problem doing delivery on demand instead of a monthly top off.

When we purchased our new home, and due to the instability of the electric utilities in the area during bad weather, we decided to have a whole house generator installed. Since our house was already equipped with an underground 500 gallon propane tank to fuel our cooking and heating we chose to purchase a generator that used propane gas rather than mess with gasoline. A year after the installation of our generator, we felt that an additional 500 gallon tank would provide both additional fuel in the event of a long power outage, plus more flexibility in waiting for the best price per gallon when refilling the tanks. With the capacity of 1,000 gallons, it would be less likely that we would be in a panic situation to get a refill; and with the wild price swings I have seen in propane pricing, we could be more patient and wait for the best price. After receiving quotes from Economy Propane as well as one of the very large local propane distributors, I decided to go with Economy Propane for the installation of the additional tank. Economy Propane’s pricing was fair. Another deciding factor was a bad experience I had with the large local distributor when we first moved into our home. The large distributor quoted us a good price per gallon, I had the tank filled and the bill arrived with a much higher price. I called the supplier several times but the person who provided me with the original quote would not return my calls. After a lot of work on my part, the company president corrected the situation. As far as Economy Propane, any time I have received a quote, there were never any issue with their bills. Regarding the actual tank installation, I was concerned about the placement of the tank and any excess dirt. Mike, the gentleman who operates the backhoe during the digging, made a personal trip to my home to put my mind at ease regarding the dig and placement of the tank. In the end, Mike did an excellent job of digging, placement and covering the tank. Doug and Bobby worked to make sure that I was satisfied with the final results of the project. I now have two 500 gallon tanks that Economy Propane connected together so that they work in tandem in supplying both our home and generator with fuel. It was a pleasure working with everyone from Economy Propane!

The delivery was made within the delivery window. They called to let me know they were on the way. The driver was very friendy and professional. I will definately use them again.

These people are great! Doug McNEW was extremely friendly and responsive and everything went smoothly. I was very impresses with the delivery driver and all of the people in this company.

The company was very professional from the moment we contacted them. The system check was done thoroughly--the provider went above and beyond, educating us about the system as well as checking it. And the price to fill the propane tank was the best in the area-- $2 a gallon (we own our own tank, so we can choose our provider). Great company, will use them again.

Economy Propane is wonderful to work with, I highly recommend them! We rented a propane tank and use them to fill the tank. We are first time home buyers and were unfamiliar with working with propane for our hot water heater and stove. Ron came and installed our tank and showed us how everything connects. He was incredibly knowledgeable and very helpful. Setting up serivce was easy and they were able to deliver the tank and propane in less than a week after the initial call.
