"We highly recommend Steve Phillips. He has fully remodeled one of our bathrooms, replaced our barn roof, put a roof on our pergola and repaired two of our skylights. We were absolutely thrilled with the results of all of the projects. His quotes are reasonable, he's very thorough, easy to reach by phone, completes the projects in the estimated time frame and leaves the project site impeccable upon completion. Steve is top-notch very trustworthy and we look forward to working with him again on future remodeling projects."

"I give them an "A" for responsiveness and professionalism. Their pricing structure is hourly based vs. project based, so it is difficult to compare them if you are gathering multiple estimates. This was not a good fit for me for this particular job. Estimates are not free. I would consider them for smaller jobs that I do not have time for."

"The work performed by Mike Maintenance was phenomenal. They were professional, highly skilled and very flexible with time scheduling and management. They were very friendly and paid great respect to my townhouse and clean up. Even when problems arised with repair to an attached house fixture, they were able to analyze and solve it satisfactory. Contractors will use a strong, inexpensive wood to frame a house or other structure and finer woods like mahogany for detail work.

For stick-built barns, 2-by-4 or 2-by-6 lumber (known as sticks) create a frame around load-bearing beams. Stick-built construction is far more popular for residential homes. Pole barns are more cost-effective because they require fewer materials and less labor.

Building a barndominium means converting a barn into a house. Barndominiums are becoming popular as spacious and stylish alternatives to typical housing structures. Old barns that become houses traditionally consist of wooden construction. However, newer structures, such as pole barns, often contain metal exteriors and roofs. Converting a metal outbuilding into a house presents an excellent opportunity to create a barndominium from metal.
