Greg Wiskirchen responded immediately, and quickly came out to fix the cap so that no rain would get in. He was on time, easy to communicate with, and completed the job with care. I asked PTL to come look at the shroud at the top of my chimney because birds appeared to be nesting in the chimney shroud area. Our shroud is large which gives plenty of room for birds to nest. The techs came out, looked at the shroud, and advised that I not put up anything (such as mesh) to prevent the birds from getting in the shroud. The tech explained to me that in the middle of the shroud there's a chimney cap (or flue) and the birds can't get into the cap and therefore can't get into our house. He said as a result, it's not worth the $$ to install mesh around the shroud. I was most appreciative of his advice
