"The repointing work was generally done well. Old mortar and bricks were removed and new bricks were installed. The craftsmanship was excellent. However, the color of the mortar used differed from that in the rest of the brickwork, so at present it stands out. Sixpenny said to wait a period and then re-evaluate whether any change should be made. I would rate this as an "A" but for the color difference in the mortar that was not expected. The chimney cap work was done well."
"Very professional. Good communication as to arrival and what work was going to be done. Jamie is a pleasure to work with. I've had him clean my dryer vents several times over the last few years. Will also be using him and his crew to fix some issues with a chimney. Highly recommend."
"Vitaliy came to my house to inspect the chimney and was extremely professional, knowledgeable and patient in explaining what needed to be done to the chimney. I was very pleased with the experience and will recommend this company without hesitation. Any follow up work was done in a timely manner and very professionally. Keep the good work!"
"We bought the Angies List special deal and scheduled the appointment. The man arrived on time, cleaned the chimney and left within about an hour. No deficiencies were noted which was good because we weren't sure how long it had been since the last time anyone has cleaned the chimney. "
"Cleaned wood stove pipe. Repaired chimney masonry cap. Installed chimney cap. Restored 2nd rusting chimney cap. Inspected chimney liners. Good steady work. Personable. Also does decks and masonry repair. Made suggestions and went a little beyond the request with an easy fix on an existing component. "
"I purchased their big deal for chimney inspection and cleaning ($99). They contacted me promptly and we arranged for a date for the service. They arrived on time and began the service quickly. Both the office staff and the chimney sweeps were personable and professional. Following the cleaning and inspection the senior tech recommended replacing the existing chimney crown and replacing some missing mortar between flue pipes. I accepted their recommendation and estimate ($240, which included a $150 credit from the big deal) and we arranged a second visit 2 weeks later. I was not able to be on-site for the visit, but it was not required. They arrived and performed the repair work as scheduled. I arrived home to find the work completed and the area cleaned up. The crown looks a lot better now. I discovered a masonry hammer someone had accidentally left behind and the company sent someone around to pick it up when I called. "
"The service was fine. The only thing is that they were really late coming. So, it was like dark when they got out of here. They left the area good when they were finished. It took them an hour-and-a-half to complete the job. They sent me a picture of the chimney. The price was great. They did show up."

"Two gentlemen arrived, very courteous and professional. I escorted one gentleman to the furnace area to investigate what would be cleaned. I was amazed to see what I saw! Soot (looking more like crumbled dirt and sand) nearly filled the flue; solid evidence there was a serious and potentially unsafe problem in that side of the chimney. The other gentleman shared that he'd go to the top of the chimney to advise me of the condition. He also took pictures on their phones so I could see the condition above. There was no cap on the furnace chimney (I had one on the fireplace chimney). He also looked into the fireplace chimney which I greatly appreciated. One gentleman advised me of the cost of the repairs, I agreed to the cost, and they began working. These gentlemen were outstanding; demonstrating great concern for the safety of my home. I would not hesitate to use them again. "
A higher CFM will make the price of your range hood more expensive. It can be challenging to speculate how much the CFM rating affects price, but ductless range hoods—that don’t need as high of a CFM as ducted range hoods—are less expensive than their alternative. On average, ductless hoods cost between $100 and $300, while ducted hoods can cost as much as $1,000.
No, range hoods do not necessarily have to be vented outside. Ductless or non-vented range hoods are available, which are common in condos or small kitchens where connecting to external ductwork isn't feasible. These hoods operate by taking in air, filtering it through charcoal filters to help eliminate smoke and odors, and then recirculating the cleaned air back into the kitchen. However, while these recirculating hoods are more versatile, venting to the outside is still the preferred and more effective method for completely removing smoke, odors, and gases from the room.
If a range hood has minor issues, the average repair costs $85 to $210. This accounts for both parts and labor. More extensive damage can cost as much as $300 to $500, at which point it may be worth considering completely replacing the range hood.
Yes, with features like LED lighting and variable speed controls for efficiency.
Regular cleaning of filters and checking ducting ensures effective operation.
