We are here for all your painting needs to give you the clean customized home you deserve. We have an expanding workforce of professionals upon the demand per job. We subcontract out windows, roofing, siding, gutters, concrete
"Let me start off by saying that Jeremy is always late late late. Late for appointments, late for providing contracts, late for everything. He always has an excuse as to why he can't complete the job in a timely manner (family problems, other job, stressed out, etc). It took over a week just to get a contract. He didn't complete the job based on what I had requested. He would constantly lie and could never seem to fully comprehend my requests. When I complained that he didn't complete the job, he tells me through text "I can take care of it but it's not going to be inside 7 days I have a lot going on right now if you hadn't noticed". I text him 10 days later and he goes back to saying the job is complete. It took him 2 separate days (a few days apart) to do the exterior painting (cause he was late). He tells me he's going to do the job on a day that is going to rain. I tell him it's going to rain on that day. He said it'll be fine. He texts me on that day that he can't do it cause it's going to rain LOL. When I mentioned why there is a spot not painted on top of the front door trim, he responds with "is not visibly noticeable by the line of sight from the street". When I mentioned why he didn't caulk 90% of what I asked for, he said it's "at my discretion". During my complaints through text, he tells me "The way you were attacking me with all these messages seems like you have nothing going on in your life but to be concerned with all of this". Well I just got 1k stolen from me, of course I'm going to be concerned when you have 2 kids to take care of and are not in a position to throw away money. He also texted me "you've texted me over 30 times in the last hour and that's considered harassment" LOL ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? Unfortunately I couldn't fit all the things he didn't do in ONE text so clearly he missed a lot. The paint job on my front door trim is already ruined because of caulking he didn't do. When I complained about the front door trim already ruined due to rain (literally less than a week after the paint job), he tells me "that's how it's designed". I told him to go look at my neighborhood and see if anyone else has this issue! Jeremey is a headache that you don't want to deal with. I now have to find another contractor to complete the work I paid him to do. You end up being his manager because you have to REMIND him and keep up with him. If you paid him for a job and never contacted him again, he probably wouldn't contact you! STAY FAR AWAY!!! If you do decide to go with him, MAKE SURE the contract states everything you need in DETAIL. Or he'll find a way to not do the job and keep the money. I even hired a lawyer to sue him but decided to drop it because of time. Who has the time to deal with people like Jeremey?"

FAQs for contractor service projects in Richmond, VA
Generally, general contractors charge between $50 and $150 hourly, though not every contractor charges by the hour. If charging based on the project, you can expect a markup of 10% to 20% of the construction cost. You can expect to pay between $300 and $500 daily if charged by the day.
General contractors are the ones that coordinate home construction projects. They are in charge of the day-to-day oversight of the subcontractors to ensure that the project is completed on time and to resolve problems as they arise. General contractors:
Complete pre-construction planning, both with the customer and crew
Provide realistic cost estimates
Develop construction timelines
Ensure deadlines are met
Acquire permits as needed
Purchase supplies and materials
Before hiring a general contractor for your home project, it’s a great idea to write down a list of questions to discuss with each prospect. Some example questions to get you started include:
Which types of insurance do you carry?
Can you provide a list of references?
What is the expected timeline for this project?
How will my project be supervised?
Will you hire subcontractors for the job?
What is the best way to communicate changes?
Will you obtain all of the required building permits?
While city and state laws vary on general contractor licensing requirements, hiring an unlicensed general contractor could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local general contractor guidelines for your area.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Yes, most general contractors require a down payment for project completion. A reasonable down payment for a contractor is 10% to 25% of the total project cost, though that will vary based on project size and location. The down payment helps cover the upfront costs of materials and permits and helps ensure payment for the project at hand.
