"My wife and I purchased a charming brick ranch home from the 1970s with dreams of transforming it into our ideal living space. Our first project was opening up the kitchen/family room to the living room by removing a load-bearing wall—definitely not a DIY job. We posted our project on Angie’s List and were soon contacted by Isai Huezo, owner of Huezo’s Construction LLC. Isai visited us the next day, and his estimate was so reasonable that we eagerly hired them on the spot. On Monday, a professional crew of four, led by a foreman, arrived promptly at 7:00 AM and got straight to work. They were not only highly skilled but also incredibly polite, keeping the work area immaculate during the demolition. By the second day, the team had seamlessly removed the remaining 2x4s, installed a robust lintel beam, and perfectly matched the drywall and trim to the rest of the house. We also had an outdated picket wall around the basement stairs. Isai recommended modernizing it with a sleek 3-foot wall, and it was completed within the three-day timeframe. Thrilled with their exceptional work, we discussed adding a dream screen porch and deck. The estimate was too good to pass up, so we went ahead. The results were nothing short of spectacular. The screen porch was beautifully integrated with the roof joists, and the deck, built on sturdy 6x6 posts and attached to the house, was a masterpiece. The porch featured custom wiring for lights, a ceiling fan, and outdoor floodlights, with a stunning tongue-and-groove pine ceiling stained in a glossy walnut finish. The craftsmanship was top-tier, and the crew's professionalism and courtesy made the entire experience a delight. Encouraged by their success, we tackled our outdated 1970s kitchen next. Isai returned to vent and wire the microwave, install LED lighting, and add a sconce light. He even refinished the ceiling and windows. After removing the cabinets, Isai didn’t miss a beat, finishing the ceiling, painting the trim and windows, and installing a beautiful tile backsplash. When we realized our old appliances didn’t match the newly renovated space, Isai went above and beyond, helping us select and purchase new appliances and offering to install them. Huezo Construction exceeded our expectations in every way with their exceptional craftsmanship, incredible value, and the wonderful camaraderie we developed with Isai and his crew. "I hired Alan to replace a badly deteriorated garage floor and to install a parking pad next to the garage off an alley. When he came to the site to give the estimate he also pointed out some failed mortar joints and significant stair-step cracking along the rear wall. In all, he and his crew repaired multiple sections of old mortar and replaced a rusty lintel; removed the old concrete garage floor; prepared the garage and exterior parking pad, removing dirt and a tree; formed up the new 18x18 garage floor and 20x20 parking pad, with a 4' apron; and poured the new concrete with appropriate finishes. I am absolutely thrilled with the finished product. Alan and his crew were a delight to work with. He clearly communicated changes in plans to work around weather and set expectations on scheduling and how long it would be before the concrete would be ready to be parked on. The site was left clean and neat at the end of each day, and the substantial, unavoidable disruption of the alley was repaired at the end of each day to make it presentable and drivable. No damage was done to my property or neighboring properties. I expected the initial estimate to be significantly higher, yet Alan committed to it, and the only small changes were due to additional work I requested while they were there. I could not be happier with how this project came together, and Alan was a delight to work with. I have several other smaller projects planned over the next few years and hope I'll be able to use him for those, as well!"
All the work was completed as agreed in a good timely manor, He found some rotted wood in bottom of frame that he replace for an agreed upon small added fee, he replaced a small doorbell cover for free.
All in all they did a good job!!!! We will hire them again in the future
