"They did a fantastic job! Great communication from beginning to end. We had them trim several tree branches off our sheds and create a canopy. They also hedged our shrubs and cut out dead branches from a smaller tree. Site was left clean and tidy."

"The team reports earlier than scheduled if possible. They are professional and courteous. The price is reasonable. I wouldn't call any other service besides T and B Landscaping. If you do, you will be ripped off. The job is done to expectations or beyond. The cleanup is worth ten stars. Exceptional."

"I didn't have to schedule out weeks ahead. The tree in front of our house is a HUGE MESS MAKER!!! The leaves, even though I had another service come and pick up leaves a couple of months ago, I did 5 hours of raking...it just never stopped. The leaves were becoming slimmy in the street. Which leads to safety. The city never picked up our leaves because it rained that day. So needless to say I got the 200 deal and then I added the 100 for them to vacuum up the leaves and take them away. I love looking at my yard now and I am sure my neighbors are happy to see the lawn full of leaves gone!

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The best tools for tree removal include a chainsaw for large trees, an ax for notching and cutting down small trees, and a wedge to help control the direction a tree falls in. A hatchet can be useful for very small trees, but won’t be effective for medium to large trees.

Tree roots can take weeks to years to die, depending on the method you use. Chemical herbicides take the least amount of time—typically between three and four weeks—while homemade methods, like covering an old stump with leaves, could take between seven and eight years. If you’re unsure which method to use or how quickly you need to act, consulting with a pro is always a good idea.

Generally, you do not have the right to take fruit from a neighbor's tree, even if the branches overhang your property. The fruit is considered the property of the tree's owner. While you may have the right to trim branches that cross into your yard, the fruit on them typically still belongs to your neighbor. However, laws can vary by state and municipality. In some areas, branches that extend into your yard or trees that straddle a property line may entitle you to some of the fruit. The best course of action is to speak with your neighbor, as they may be happy to share. If a conversation is not possible, check your local regulations before picking any fruit.

Aside from removing dead or diseased branches, you should prune your trees somewhere between every one and three years. Some people—particularly commercial farmers—prune their apple trees yearly to produce higher yields. This is the best way to promote tree health. That said, the average homeowner can get away with hard-pruning their mature apple tree every other year or every three years.

Palm tree stumps can take as long as seven to ten years to rot naturally. Whereas some tree stumps rot within a year, palm trees tend to last longer due to their deep root networks. Chemical rotting (described above) can help speed the process up so your palm tree stumps rot in under two months.
