It took a couple extra steps to get there, but I measure the value of a company not only by the quality of their work, but their honesty, integrity, and how they handle situations when they go wrong. A handful of things need to get corrected and added toward the end of the project, and Clint and the gang worked with us to get a great outcome. Details: We have a 14'x30' simple wood deck removed from the back of our house and a similar area of concrete patio installed with half made into a covered and screened porch. Clint was a great designer and project lead. He gave us great design advice, came up with a pleasing design, and absolutely stood by making sure all our requirements were met. One of the problems we had toward the end came from Clint NOT trying to upsell us something (fixing all the siding above the porch area rather than just what was needed to install the porch - in retrospect the siding was installed incorrectly many years ago, and Clint regretted not advising us to just fix all of it.). Construction team: All four teams - Concrete/Masonry, Carpentry, Electrical, Paint - were timely, neat, flexible, and friendly. I was able to chat with the lead easy as needed to check on progress and get clarification as needed. Corrections at the end: During the final walk-thru, there were a handful of things we pointed out, and several that Clint identified that we missed. All where quickly rectified. After the project was complete, we discovered that the porch roof leaked during a rainstorm. Clint immediately sent the team out, and they determined (I had suspected this) my 19-year old siding was the culprit. At a very reasonable addendum, they quickly rectified the problem. I have now enjoyed my wonderful, leak-free porch in several rain storms since that time. One truth for anyone doing a project like this - your yard will be trashed. That is simply unavoidable. Landscaping was not part of the contract, and I knew this - BECAUSE I READ THE FINE PRINT. READ THE FINE PRINT. It will make you and your contractor both happier. Know what you are and are not buying. This is true for any contractor. The Phoenix crew did clean up the year, spread seed, and professionally clean the project. I would definitely consider this company for future projects

"I am thrilled with my finished project! We did a complete remodel of our kitchen. We’ve been in our house for 22 yrs, and it was definitely time for a face lift. We gathered 3 estimates at the beginning. The proposals reminded me of the Three Bears. One was way too expensive (because lots of project management levels), one was very frugal (with more of a hands-off feel), and we settled on the one that felt just right. We worked with the designer named Hakan. He created a new plan for our kitchen with some minor reconstruction ideas (moved the wall-oven to a different wall, and reconfigured the island). He created a beautiful 3-D plan on his computer for us to be able to visualize it. His price was reasonable. In fact, we decided to go with hardwood floors. Instead of charging us extra for them to sub out the flooring, Hakan suggested we handle the flooring separately, to bring down our cost, and that’s what we did. Hakan was super easy to work with if we wanted to switch around some ideas, and he provided great help (and patience!) to me in picking out colors and other design elements like backsplash tile and counter top. He was very responsive by phone and text with my many questions. He went with us to the tile store to select our actual countertop slab. Ultimately he would say that yes, this is our kitchen, but it has his name on it too, and he cares about the finished project. Once the project actually started, the workmen were polite and cleaned up after themselves every day. The project manager would let us know what days to expect them, and they always showed up on the days they said. Sometimes a tad later than projected, but that is to be expected. We only had a few days “off” when we didn’t have a crew here, and it was mainly because we were waiting for the cabinet shipment, or them juggling scheduling demands. We started demolition on December 1st, and they finished January 15th. Not bad for a complete remodel. I won’t say that there were no hiccups at all, but nothing that couldn’t be fixed. For instance, they discovered a weight-bearing beam across where the vent ductwork was supposed to go. They solved it by building a soffit for the duct work to be housed. I actually like this look better than what was planned. I will say I was glad that I could work from home and be here for questions that came up. Mostly little ones, like “what size grout do you want?”, or to make sure the light outlets were in a good spot. My one critique would be that sometimes the communication between team members was a little lacking. Bottom line is, yes, we would hire Dream Design back for other remodeling projects. I have a stunningly beautiful kitchen!
