Zee locksmith is specialized in all types of locks for your home doors, windows, closets, safes. Zee locksmith installs and repair locks and keys. If you lost keys, want to re-key, make new key, break or open any lock just let us know.

"The person who showed up at my house was awesome, but it wasn't Zee's locksmith. It was Metro Locksmith. That is fine, but that wasn't communicated with us. Also they indicated they would be at our house in an hour, but it took over 2 hours. Again, I would highly recommend Metro Locksmith since they were the ones who actually did the work, not Zee's. I gave 4 starts because I didn't want a negative review to affect Metro, but I was annoyed by the lack of communication by Zee's."

Protecting homes and businesses since 1950, Guardian Protection is one of the nation's largest and most highly regarded security companies. We provide smart technology, 24/7 professional monitoring, and peace of mind to hundreds of thousands of customers. Our products are installed by experts, monitored by real people, and truly make a difference. We do what we do because of one simple truth: life is better when it's safe.

"We hired Guardian to install our security system at our Washington, DC, business. The service and quality of the work was horrible. We had cameras and an alarm system installed; it was a relatively large system. They outsource most of the work to various vendors. They could not manage their vendors; what was supposed to take a week took two months. The sales rep did not return calls, and you could never get anyone in management on the phone. Random people would show up at unannounced times. The few things that an actual Guardian employee did were they made a huge mess of our newly remodeled office and were rude to our staff. We have offices in five markets across the US and have high security at each; we have never had such a poor experience."

Award winning! Vintage Security provides monitoring services and security systems to over 19,000 customers throughout the Northern Virginia, Washington D.C, and Maryland areas. We offer a complete line of hardwired and wireless equipment to protect your home and/or business. Vintage Security skilled installers and technicians will treat your home and/or business as though it were their own.

"I have been on this system for 3-4 years. The initial installation went ok, but the overall functionality and reliability of the system is poor. The basic alarm system works when you manually arm/ disarm it through the app or keypad. However, the alarm cannot be set up on an automated schedule, and NONE of the connected automation features work - lights, outlets, blinds, etc. I purchased the recommended products that the company promised would seamlessly integrate into the system during the sales pitch, but none of them work. They have sent technicians out a couple times but, even after installing bulky repeater boxes in about half a dozen outlets, the system cannot connect. I have submitted several tickets, but Vintage just closes them out and suggests that I self troubleshoot. Alternatively, I can pay for an Automation Maintenance package and they will send a technician out. Bottom line - their system is nothing more than a 1990's alarm with a keypad and phone app. They dont deliver on what they sell, and they try to charge extra for support that should be included."

"A few days after moving into our "new" home, my wife mistakenly locked herself out of the house. We were planning on getting the locks changed anyway, but now we had an emergency lock-out situation as well. Artie's team responded promptly and professionally, and their prices were fair. (They even recommended that I keep the existing good-quality locks and simply have them re-keyed, rather than trying to sell me new locks.) I would recommend them to anyone looking for assistance with residential locksmith work."

Locksmiths questions, answered by experts

Aside from the labor costs, several other factors can impact the cost of hiring a locksmith. If you can avoid services during off-hours, you can save on fees often charged for urgent requests. Consider additional factors such as:

  • Type of services required

  • Emergency call fees

  • Home and lock location

  • Number of locks to repair or install

  • Peak hours

  • Type of locks

There are several ways to add security to a sliding glass door. To start, install a rod or deadbolt lock instead of the flip-lock that comes standard with most sliding glass doors. Add a sensor to the door and monitor any activity through your home security system.

Finally, installing shatterproof window film will help keep the structural integrity of the glass if it cracks.

The good news is that, yes, you can change locks yourself. Many people find it’s an easy DIY project that requires few tools and not much expense (depending on which lock you’re installing). If you have trouble with any part of an installation, you can always call a locksmith to help finish installing them.

Regrettably, entirely pick-proof locks don't exist unless you opt for keyless varieties. Locks advertised as "pick-proof" are, in reality, more resilient against lock-picking and bumping attempts because of complex mechanisms consisting of pins and sidebars. These locks work like this—they assign two tasks to the key, enhancing security by making unauthorized entry more challenging.

Yes, you should change the locks as soon as you can after completing the purchase of a house. This is a matter of privacy and security, as you have no idea how many copies of the keys the previous owner made. You can change the locks yourself or hire a pro to replace or rekey the lock, which costs $50 to $100.
