"We had Troy-Bilt do a complete gut and remodel of our master bathroom. This was extensive work that included tearing out the old shower and corner tub, reframing/moving the wall the old shower was in to create a linen closet, replace two vanities, create a large corner master shower, move plumbing for one vanity and shower, replace the toilet, install new medicine cabinets, and replace all lights and fixtures. Also, we removed the bath door and Troy-Bilt hung a sliding barn door. We purchased all the material, except for miscellaneous items, and Troy-Bilt worked with us to create the design and layout of the new bathroom. It all turned out excellent. We are very pleased. Price below includes only labor and miscellaneous material - the bulk of material was provided/purchased by us directly. Also, the price includes work and some extra material for the shower (tile work, some additional granite pieces to match vanity tops, and glass shower walls)."

"We hired Raines & Sons to remodel our bathroom. Jamie gave us a very reasonable quote and was upfront about what to expect. Everything went well. Took a little longer than expected, but that was because he wanted to do it right rather than finish the gig and move on. The people on Jamie's crew were friendly, professional, and made sure to clean up before leaving each day. Jamie is a man of his word and always let me know what to expect each step of the way. One of the things I respect the most is that when something came up that he wasn't prepared for (it did, twice), he wasn't afraid to call in a subcontractor who could do the task better and faster. That is the mark of a true professional. He didn't try to do everything himself so he could max his profit. He brought in the people who were good at each job. Solid painting crew, too, by the way. "They are a nice provider. I talked to them on the phone for about 30 minutes and they sent some samples. We were able to get a discount on designer purchases but not useful on designing the space. Once we told them what we wanted, they were able to help purchase from the warehouse and save about $1,500. I think they became too busy with this big deal. You buy a ticket per room and we still actually have a couple left with this provider. After redesigning one room, we kind of ran out of steam and have not designed the other rooms. Overall this is a good service and it's a good concept. Whomever I spoke with, she was really nice. I would recommend this provider. This kind of service seems to be for people with time and knows exactly what they want. They are super helpful with the designer discount from the warehouse. They don't actual design your room which is slight flaw."

"After a ridiculous estimate from a prior contractor, whom I fired, I called G&G and another local company.  Both came out for estimates as scheduled.  G&Gs estimate was a hair higher, but I felt more comfortable with them than the other company.
Amanda was easily reachable and everything was easily scheduled around my personal schedule.
The crew arrived early the day of the job and promptly began to work.  They didn't mind at all that I watched, as I wanted to see the damaged plywood they'd be removing.  The main roof was completed in a day.  The sunroof roof and gutters were completed the next day.  Due to weather, the shutters were installed on the third day.  A few bits and pieces of the sunroof work were left behind, but nothing to complain about.
Although the other estimate for the main roof was a tad higher than the other company, the sunroom roof and gutter prices easily made up for it.  They also sent out a guy to pressure wash the house after the work was complete....fabulous!!!
I look forward to working with them again on further projects...and highly recommend them to other Angie's List members.
