"I had my hardwood refinished in a townhouse. They were extremely patient with me in trying to select a color to match other wooden accents in my home. Everyone loves my flooring now. The only reason I gave them a 4.5 instead of a 5, I wish they would have filled in all of the gaps with wood putty before staining."
"They did great work painting our extensive exterior wood trim, repairing a section of our fascia, and installing an outdoor light. The technicians and the JW main office were both a pleasure to work with. The great thing about these guys is that if they discover a problem, they can almost always fix it themselves, since they have all the relevant skills. We have hired them often in the past and will not hesitate to do so again."
"Dynasty woodworks did an amazing job designing and building our end table. They were very informative throughout the entire process. Outstanding customer service. Would highly recommend!"
"Highly recommend this company! We hired them twice this year for two different projects. On both occasions, we received OUTSTANDING service! They built our custom wet bar, finished a portion of our basement and installed an infrared sauna. We get compliments on our basement everything we entertain. The attention to detail and craftsmanship is just marvelous. The owner and his crew are very professional. They kept us informed every day on the progress and next steps. On time and very neat. We even hired them for some handyman projects such as installing a ceiling lamp and installing a TV. We will continue to use them for all our household renovations and repairs. Finally, a company that not only delivers excellent service but does EXCELLENT work!"
"We highly recommend Quality Construction Projects: Mr. Angarita is extremely professional with knowledge of every aspect of a project. He hires extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy pros. We felt comfortable to leave them alone from the start and they were all polite and respectful of us. As the project progressed and we asked for changes, they worked with us and not one time did they show impatience. In our view, this is one of the best companies you can choose! Thank you, Mr. Angarita!"
"Luis and team from Gabriel Fence and Decks were Fantastic! They gave me a great price, great work and cleaned up my yard upon completion! I haven't been this impressed by a contractor in a long time. Highly recommend!!!"

"We needed hand rails manufactured and installed throughout the house to prevent us from falling due to low back issues. Work was completed professionally, and met our schedule. Would hire again for carpentry work."
"I was very pleased with their service and their price compared to the other two companies I interviewed. Nancy Hung, the closet designer, suggested what she thought would work for me after we discussed what I was interested in. She asked me if I had time for her to draw the design right then. If not, she would have sent a computer generated design to me by email. I had the time and much preferred her hand written design as it was clearer to me than the designs of the other two companies I received by email. The day of the work, they arrived on time and in a little over three hours the job was done. They removed the hardware that was currently in the closet, spackled the holes, and installed shelves, rods, and a laundry hamper. I had recently changed a light fixture and there were some holes left since the new light fixture was a different size than the old one. The workman asked me if I would like him to spackle those holes too. I thought that was so nice of him to offer since clearly that was not part of what he had to do. I was very pleased with their work and would definitely hire them again. "
"We had the flooring of our entire town home removed and installed new hardwoods throughout all 3 floors. The team completed this project in only 4 days and did an amazing job for us. This is the second time we called on this team for a major project at our home and we continue to highly recommend this reliable & professional team."
Tipping contractors, builders, or general contractors is not customary or expected. Unlike many service professions where tipping is built into the payment structure, construction professionals typically charge a full rate for their services. However, you may choose to tip a worker for exceptional service, such as if they go above and beyond, stay late to meet a deadline, or work on a holiday weekend. Before offering a tip, it's a good idea to ask about the company's policy, as some prohibit their employees from accepting gratuities. If you want to show your appreciation for a job well done without giving a cash tip, consider writing a positive online review or offering to serve as a reference for potential new customers.
Some states require carpenters to be licensed to perform forms of carpentry, such as framing. The license requires a certain amount of experience and to pass an examination. In states that don’t require carpenters to be licensed, they must be licensed as a contractor if they work independently rather than solely as a subcontractor under a licensed builder. Use Angi’s contractor licensing tool to find out whether a potential carpenter is licensed in your state.
It is common for a contractor to ask for a down payment before starting a project, especially for jobs that require purchasing materials and equipment or hiring a crew. The deposit amount can range from 10% to 50% of the total job cost. While a request for up to 50% is not unusual, a contractor should not ask for more than that, and you should never pay for a project in full before the work has begun. To protect yourself, always discuss payment terms before starting and have a written contract that outlines the project timeline and expectations. Additionally, be sure to hire reputable contractors and check their licensing and insurance before the project begins.
Before hiring a carpenter, the most important thing is to make sure they are properly qualified and insured for the job. It’s more than reasonable to ask your prospective carpenter for customer references, as well as about their licensing and insurance. You should also consider choosing a carpenter that specializes in your specific project area to ensure high-quality results.
Most landscape timbers are 8 feetlong, but some are also available in 10-foot and 12-foot lengths. Choose the length that will allow you to install landscape timbers using the least amount of cutting to fit. Shorter timbers will allow you to more easily create angles and shorter plant bed sides.
