"He was on time, friendly, well prepared. He went beyond and added more embers below the logs for a better flame. Would definitely call him again if needed for any gas appliance concern."

"We recently had our furnace replaced and the experience was excellent. The Baker’s team was professional, honest, and very knowledgeable. They explained everything clearly, showed up on time, and the pricing was very fair compared to other quotes we received. Highly recommend them if you need HVAC work."

"Excellent experience.  We have used H&B exclusively for our plumbing and heat pump work for the last few years.  They are extremely responsive and do what it takes to get your problem resolved as quickly as possible.  Good communication about options or if it can't be fixed within the same call.  In this instance, the issue was a bad control board and the part was still under warranty years after heat pump purchase.  But the amazing thing is we didn't buy the heat pump from H&B.  We purchased it from another vendor before we started using H&B.  H&B determined the part was still under warranty, handled the acquisition of the replacement part with the manufacturer and all the associated paperwork.  The part was overnighted and installed the next day.  Meanwhile H&B were wonderful enough to haul our heavy old window unit A/C out of storage and put in the bedroom so that our senior dog would be comfortable overnight during the record breaking heat.  We've been in this area/house for almost 20 years and have used cheaper options but learned you get what you pay for.  H&B: dependable, responsive, courteous & performs quality work that they stand behind!

"Randy was fantastic as an electrician and was very personable. Would highly recommend him. As far as using the provider, I would not personally use them anymore. I purchased the Electrician for 7 hours deal. Due to car issues with their company car, Randy was late. I put that on the company for not maintaining the car properly. That also irks me that a $29 fee was charged for maintenance, tolls, gas etc..., knowing full well the car wasn’t maintained and no tolls were charged on the way here. The $36 dollar extra charge for them using their tools, and wear and tear of them, really upset me. It’s a ridiculous charge, especially when I offered the company to use my own tools which are exactly what the Electrician used on his own. That charge, and the former one, either needs to be revamped, nullified, or rolled into the price where one can’t see it. These extra charges were/are not explicitly spelled out in the Angie’s list deal. One could also argue there is a gray area explanation on their own website about it too. Due to me not being able to stay more time for Randy being an hour and a half late, I asked the company to refund me for the hour and a half portion I lose in work. I was told they can’t but I can do the 4 hour deal. The 4 hour deal is a higher premium, $1.61 per minute, than the 7 hour deal at $1.41 per minute. So I paid a higher premium and all the work I needed done couldn’t be finished. It would have been, in the 7 hours, as I predicted. I now have to have another electrician come finish the job. I will say the price is a great deal minus the extra charges."

"Fernando cut and removed all the mortar joints on my stone walkway. Then he installed new mortar. He showed up on the date and time we discussed and the work was completed on time. He was clean and respectful of my property. He took the time to carefully remove old mortar and preserve our existing stones. The walkway looks great and we plan on hiring Fernando again!"

"Not only did Eddie obtain all the required accessories and brackets, he went out of his way to solve networking and access problems that were causing significant problems. He set up the TV in record time, cleanly and securely. The installation could not have gone better and the price he charged was very very fair."

Gas Grill Installation questions, answered by experts

All U.S. states require permits for gas grill installation, so you’ll have to get one before you move forward with your project. Permits help ensure that the gas line runs safely to avoid gas leaks and explosions. Gas line permits can usually also only be pulled by certified plumbers, which means you’ll have to hire a professional from the start. The permit for a gas line installation for a gas grill usually costs between $100 and $300. You can contact your installation company or building department for more accurate pricing.

Yes, you can lay a gas grill flat during transportation. Laying it flat can help prevent it from moving around the truck during the journey. It’s still advisable to secure the grill with bungee cords, just in case.

No. Placing a built-in grill against the house is discouraged due to safety concerns. Building codes and regulations often require a minimum distance (typically 10 feet or more) between a gas grill and any combustible structure, including a house. Placing a grill too close poses a fire hazard and risks damage to the siding or structure, potentially leading to carbon monoxide buildup. It's essential to consult local building codes, follow manufacturer guidelines, and prioritize safety by positioning the grill at a safe distance, ideally in a well-ventilated outdoor kitchen or designated grill area.

Examples include gas stoves, ovens, and water heaters. Confirm with your provider for specific items.

On average, a gas grill can last from five to 15 years. The exact lifespan depends on several factors, including the brand and quality of the grill, frequency of use, and whether the gas line is buried or above ground. With proper maintenance and care, such as regular deep cleanings to remove food, grease, and carbon deposits, a grill's life can be extended. Protecting the grill from the elements with a cover can also prevent rust and reduce the need for repairs. Most grill manufacturers also offer extended warranties, which vary in coverage and terms.
