Words cannot begin to express my gratitude towards Jason Cornett and Hampton Roads Water Services (and of course, Angi, for helping me find Jason). To say that Jason was amazing would be a complete understatement! Just a little background. . . my water heater died back in August. Thinking I could save a buck, I enlisted my then-boyfriend’s father to do the job of replacing it. So I picked out a unit from Home Depot and VOILA! Good-bye, Electric Kettle and Bucket! Hello, Hot Water! Come January, it was 52 degrees in my house. I called my HVAC guy and as it turns out, my 40-year-old condo utilized a specific type of water heater (an Apollo) that not only heats up my water but my home as well. Frustrated, frozen and all the while going through a breakup, I was also dealing with other companies who were only interested in making money. There was even one who inflated their price then gave me a “discount” but the moment I started asking questions, they stopped responding to me altogether. I wish I could put their name down on here, but I will be leaving a review on their site because what they did was wrong. But I digress. Dejected and not sure where to go from there (since I wasted an entire week dealing with that last company), I thought I would give Angi a shot. It was the best decision ever! Jason was one of the firsts to message me and his quote was one of the lowest, but what really got me was his patience. After my previous experiences, I admit, anxiety got the best of me and caused me to fire off question after question, but Jason was a trooper. He answered most, if not all, of my questions and put my mind at ease. He even came over the next day (Friday) to assess the situation. What I absolutely adored about Jason was that he attempted to give me alternatives. That spoke to me as far as the type of person I was dealing with, someone who was genuinely looking out for my best interest and not just looking to make a profit. He even asked to speak with my HVAC guy to see if that alternative could work. Together, they decided that an Apollo water heater was the best option for me. Without hesitation, Jason put me on the schedule for the following Tuesday. Tuesday came and Jason and his helper Greg were on time, extremely friendly and efficient and complete masters of their craft. The water heater is located in the attic space above my walk-in closet so it’s not in the greatest of locations, but this Dynamic Duo got it done and they got it done quickly. Within an hour and a half, I had BOTH hot water AND heat! It was simply AMAZING! I was without heat for three months, confined to my bedroom with a space heater for the third month with an ex-boyfriend who has yet to move out. . . a complete mess! Thanks to Jason, Greg, HRWS and Angi, one of my biggest problems has been lifted and I am forever grateful! You have me as a customer for life. If you are thinking about going with HRWS, just stop already and give them a call. . . you won’t regret it. . . and ask for Jason. 😊 P.S. — Jason even texted me later that night to make sure everything was still up and running. Talk about amazing customer service! I could NOT be any happier!
