"We are extremely impressed with our new deck and fence.  Working with Steve Edwards and his team was very easy and an overall great experience.  They were very responsive to all our needs and delivered a product that far exceeded our expectations. The quality and craftsmanship in their work speaks for itself!  I highly recommend Powerhouse and will definitely use them for future projects.
Thank you Powerhouse for a beautiful deck and fence!

"Tim and his crew always do a great job, they cut my yard whenever it needs to be done and it’s always done super quick and cleanly. They have the best rates and make sure that you are satisfied as a customer. He also put down plastic and mulch for my flower bed, and now it looks so much nicer. You won’t find a better quality and price for service ??."
Customer did not want the gutter downspout flowing in their new bed. So we made it work
We can work around crazy angels too!
Had to dig out a root from a existing stump in the ground to level out the boarder. All hand dug and no machinery had to be used. Less machines is always more cost effective for our customers
We made the rock leaves even with their low profile deck.

Retaining Wall Installers questions, answered by experts

If you don’t backfill a retaining wall—either at all or adequately enough—the wall won’t drain well, and water will be able to pass through it. Poor drainage will lead to a warped wall or a buildup of hydrostatic pressure, which can eventually collapse your retaining wall. If you have particularly sloped land, consult a structural engineer to ensure your hardscaping is adding value to your home.

Most retaining wall installations can be finished in one to three weeks, but the timeline varies based on factors like wall size and material. The local climate and major weather events, such as storms or flooding, can also extend the project's timeline, as can any holds ups in the permitting process.

While vinyl is the least costly material for building a retaining wall, the most cost-effective method is to use wood or concrete blocks for a DIY retaining wall under 2 feet tall. Wood is inexpensive but lasts 20 years or more with care. Concrete can cost a little more but is stronger and will last longer with less maintenance.

DIY is possible for small projects. Professional installation ensures structural integrity and durability for larger walls.

Each design is different, so we can’t say definitively if you’ll need a dedicated drainage system in place for a two-foot retaining wall. However, you can likely skip the drainage, as this project is typically served for walls that are 4 feet tall or more. Even with a relatively low wall, consider drainage if you are building on top of clay or poor-draining soil types or if there are buried water sources nearby, like a well used for other outdoor garden projects.
