"Love my floors but the customer service does not exist with this company....I had too make numerous phone calls to this company without a return call or any empathy whatsoever for the issues I experienced....Once they have your $$ which is as soon as the contractor walks in the door before they do anything I had too chase them down too get my job complete."

Walter had completed two previous jobs in our neighborhood which we had seen and liked.. We asked him for an estimate and when he would be available to paint our house. The house has siding on the upper floors on an exposed basement of concrete blocks. We inherited the house from family members, and it had been many years since any painting had been done--leaving much peeling paint, clinging Virginia creeper and ivy. Walter promptly provided a detailed estimate of the work to be performed and the expected costs in paint, supplies, and labor.

He was able to begin work within 10 days, thereby fitting into our scheduled summer events for which we wanted the house freshly painted. There were two days of bad weather during the work, but Walter made up the time and finished ahead of schedule. Several remarkable incidents occurred during the time he and his helper were here. While Walter was on the roof painting the chimney, he noticed a small space that had created the very beginning of a leak inside. He offered to get the materials to repair the small hole, which he did that day. We assumed there would be an additional charge for this valuable piece of preventive maintenance, but he charged nothing for it. In addition, the new shutters were several days late in arriving, and painting them on our property would have required work in a new week. Then rain began to pour down. Walter said he would take the shutters to his home and paint them there over the weekend, in spite of the rain. The shutters were installed right on schedule, perfectly painted.

We had originally selected two shades of the same color, and were undecided as to which one would be best. Walter got both colors, and painted large swathes of one side of the house for us to see the two colors side by side. The large sample areas made it easy to choose, once we saw them in several light conditions.

We have owned and maintained several houses in the past 30 years, and in all that time we have never worked with anyone we would recommend more highly than Walter Castillo, a fine craftsman and perfect gentleman.

Frank and his team were punctual, stayed true to their estimate and time frame for starting and completing the job, and did fantastic work! When Frank came to my condo to see the work I wanted done and provide me with an estimate, he listened to my wants and to my budget. He provided a great and budget conscious solution to updating my kitchen (paint, kitchen cabinets and countertops, doors). He and his team also did some grout work in my bathroom. I was extremely impressed with the time they took to cover my appliances in my kitchen, the floor, as well as hang plastic to seal off the hallway and living room from the kitchen. Each day that I came home, I realized that they had cleaned up the work from the day. I was surprised and pleased to say the least! I emailed them the day before the last day work was to be done. I told them that I had forgotten to ask if they could reattach a tile on my bathroom floor that had loosened a while back. Frank responded immediately and said that they had already noticed the tile and his guys were going to fix it that day. "Bill Martins Flood Crew is excellent. In December, just before Christmas, my finished rec room flooded when my sump pump failed--soaked carpet, cardboard boxes, books, furniture with sewer water. I thought I would not find anybody this time of year to help me. But I called Bill Martins from Flood Crew, and he came out right away. He looked at the basement and gave me an analysis of my damage on the spot. He was wonderful. He took care of getting detailed estimates to my insurance company and then made arrangements for me with all the needed specialists. First, I wouldn't have known where to start, and second I wouldn't have had a clue whom to call. I needed crews to remove the carpet, cut out drywall all around to dry it out, check for mold, test for asbestos, and then remove everything. And, of course, fixing the sump pump, installing flooring, putting everything back, and lots of details in between. All of this obviously can't be completed in a week or even a month. My work was not the only project that busy contractors had. My situation was far more complicated than I thought it would be. Ultimately, it took four months, which I thought was very reasonable. And the result is so beautiful--no corners cut, no putting up with mediocre results, all this for the same price and time or less than others quote. Be patient. Be flexible. Talk with Bill about the results you want. Listen to suggestions. Your results will be beyond anything you thought was possible."
