"Wesley Barnes was professional, timely,  did exactly what we wanted, suggested needed repairs,  and his fees were great.  I hired him originally to paint the exterior of my mother's house. Before painting he power washed the house and repaired the siding.   When he arrived to begin work she asked him to also paint the interior of her porch.  He quoted an excellent price and not only painted the porch but also the swing.  Mom likes knick-knacks and plants - Wes and his help moved them away from the areas to be painted and were patient with my mother while she decided where to return them.  She had them moving items to the basement, the garage, and everywhere.  Wes did it with a smile.  My mother is quite elderly and has trouble making decisions, but usually does not like my suggestions.  Wes is the only person I know who can talk to my mother and get her to make decisions that make sense.  He was able to make her see that she did not want the house painted white (which I previously could not talk her out of).  After watching her struggle to go up and down her front stairs he also offered to install handrails - another thing I could not previously get her to agree to.  He definitely has a gift.  And his prices are fantastic. The house looks amazing with the new paint, rails, and also the storm door she had him install at the last minute.  I would hire him just to talk to my mother!When I saw the great job he did for my mother I hired him to paint my bathroom, which I'd just remodeled.  He did a great job, especially considering the tiler had gotten sealant on the walls to which paint would not adhere.  Wes fixed that issue, painted the room, and there were no drops on my new tile, counter tops or fixtures.I will definitely be hiring Wes and his team again."

"This project could not have gone any better. Alan was a little hard to get hold of at first, but I'm glad we were patient, because it was worth it.  Alan made a number of design/engineering suggestions that enhanced the project.  His crew showed up on schedule, and their attention to detail was remarkable.  The project took longer than anticipated---about three weeks start to finish---but mainly because they were so careful and concerned with executing the design perfectly and so willing to troubleshoot issues with tree roots and proper drainage. We could tell that Jerry, Tommy, Robert, and Al, the primary crew members, were engaged in the project and proud of their work. Site cleanup was likewise careful and complete (AW Masonry offered to reseed and spread straw over equipment-crushed areas of lawn, but we were happy to do that ourselves as part of border-and-bed planting and mulching).
We started with an ambitious plan and didn't know how closely our naive budget projections would match contractor estimates. Indeed, bids were higher than we expected. But we're glad we decided to go with mortared pavers on a 4" poured concrete base, over a crushed gravel layer, instead of a less expensive sand-set installation. AW Masonry gave us not only greatly improved curb appeal and solid construction but also, in our view, outstanding value. We think the quality of this project is evident to anyone who sees it."
