"JES Foundation Repair came out and looked at the basement, outside at the wall, and at the neighbors attaching wall and were really honest and said their services were really for much larger jobs than ours and even gave some recommendations for things we could do and pointed us to the likely source and didn't charge us anything for coming out. I would highly recommend."

"Came home to a busted water line in the basement Wednesday, called that night and left message with a service. They returned my call the very next morning and came out promptly, fixed the issue quickly and cheaply. I have used this company many times before and have never been disappointed. Will use many times in the future.

"????? Bathroom Remodel Review I couldn?t be happier with the work done on my bathroom. What started as an old and unfinished space was completely transformed into a beautiful, modern bathroom. The team handled everything from demolition, framing, cement board installation, waterproofing, tile work, plumbing, and the final finishes. The new shower looks amazing with the glass doors and tile work, and the whole bathroom feels brand new. The attention to detail and quality of the work really shows. They were professional, reliable, and kept the workspace clean throughout the project. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a high-quality bathroom renovation. Thank you Ibarra Remodeling LLC for the amazing work! ?"

"Ed was very responsive to my initial inquiry and came promptly to discuss what we needed. We had a bedroom with very damaged walls from wallpaper and removal of built-ins, as well as ceiling damage from a leak in the kitchen. Ed and his crew arrived when they said they would and completed the work in one day. Their work was excellent. The price was fair and they cleaned up perfectly before leaving. I will call Ed in the future and highly recommend him. He turned a nightmare into a room ready to paint!"

"TJ and his crew are knowledgeable, professional and courteous. They arrived on time and completed the repair in the time they estimated. The leak over the garage door trim was stopped and the area has been waterproofed. They did a great job, cleaned up the work area and removed all debris. The repair cost was reasonable. The water leaking in the garage area whenever it rained was a nightmare. We are thankful for professionals like TJ. We would hire him again for other repairs. Thank you."

Wall Repair questions, answered by experts

Railroad ties can be good for retaining walls, but it depends on the area. They have a desirable rustic look and are durable. The problem is they’re treated with creosote, a preservative the EPA says poses a risk to humans and wildlife. Over time, the preservative seeps out of the wood and into the ground. Many areas have banned the use of creosote-treated wood on residential properties. If your area does allow it, never use railroad ties near an edible garden or drinking water source. Instead, use wood that’s treated with an EPA-approved preservative or a wood-alternative composite material.

Yes, including patterns, finishes, and plant integration for aesthetic enhancement.

Generally speaking, a retaining wall should be between 3 and 4 feet high, depending on variables such as the wall-building material, the purpose of the retaining wall, and more. If you want your retaining wall to be taller than 4 feet, check with your local building ordinance office for the maximum allotment. You may also need a special permit for retaining walls over 4 feet tall.

They prevent soil erosion, add flat space, and enhance property aesthetics.

Options include concrete, stone, brick, and wood, tailored for specific design needs.
