"Freddie of F.A. Home Improvement has been a breath of fresh air. He just completed the 2nd entire house interior painting and I couldn t have been happier. He was never late to a project and even finished early on both houses. His team were punctual, polite, and good at their job. Cleaned up after theirselves as well. I would absolutely use their services again."

"They have a lot of people working so the job is done immediately. The quality of work impeccable. Not only are they people friendly, they also respect your house. They make sure to put down a drape and then clean up afterwards. I would highly recommend them!"

"Kutai reconstructed work for us that had previously been done incorrectly by another contractor. He and his assistants worked methodically and efficiently. Kutai has an excellent rapport with the county's building inspectors. Our two new sets of exterior stairs look great. We plan to recommend him to our neighbors who are interested in exterior stairs and a deck. Very friendly, professional, and hard-working."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

With patience, you can often save a dried paintbrush. Soak the bristles overnight and clean the brush as you would any other time. You'll likely have to repeat the cleaning steps, including soaking, more than once.

Some homeowners have luck using pressure washers, but this only works for old or weaker concrete sealants and with very powerful pressure washers. You’ll get better results by pressure washing water-based sealants. However, it’s worth trying on any sealant if you’re hoping for the least toxic, least expensive, and most DIY-friendly option. To try this method, rent or buy the most powerful pressure washer you can find and take several passes at the concrete, completely pressure washing the entire area. You may need to repeat the process multiple times to see results.

You don’t necessarily have to remove all the old paint before repainting your deck, but it’s best to remove as much as possible to ensure a smooth and long-lasting finish. Prioritize scraping off loose, peeling, or flaking paint, and sand down rough areas to create a smooth surface for the new paint to bond with.

Yes, paint thinner can damage some surfaces. Specifically, it can cause a lot of damage to laminate flooring if applied incorrectly.

There are times when you should remove all exterior paint before repainting. This includes when you need to get rid of lead-based paint (which should be done by a pro), or if you need to apply a different finish than what’s already there. Your house may also have too many pre-existing layers of old paint, in which case you’ll be better off getting rid of the old layers first.
