Customers say: Quick response

"Very prompt addressing tree down over driveway in early morning emergency on a holiday. This is a huge win! Let's be honest, service in Charlottesville is not great. MC landscaping is stepping it up. Highly recommend but get in line behind my additional work needs."

"Misa is very busy and now works for me on Saturdays. He knows my property and does a good job mowing, weed-eating and blowing away leaves. Misa really knows his plants and, in the past did a great job weeding. I hope it will continue."

"I am very satisfied with Brownleeâ s service. I got a quote and previously bagged leaves and a large fallen branch were removed the same day. Owner Chris Brownlee also quoted to cut down and remove a large dead tree along with other debris. He and his crew were able to safely drop and remove the tree within days of the quote. I am planning on seeking an estimate for stump removal and grinding in the near future. Chris was very personable and professional. The pricing was reasonable and the service excellent."

Keeping the surface clean and free of debris can also help prevent weed seeds from settling in the joints.

Landscape fabric and a few inches of gravel should be enough to put under a deck to prevent weeds from flourishing. If you don’t want to invest the time and money on a project like this, you can regularly spray the area underneath your deck to kill weeds.

The best time to hire a weed service company is in the early spring. This allows them to apply a pre-emergent weed killer that stops weeds from taking root, making maintenance for the rest of the season much easier. Following the initial spring application, a monthly service through the summer and early fall is a good idea for ongoing weed control. These regular treatments, combined with manual removal or spot treatment, should be sufficient to maintain a weed-free yard. Alternatively, you can hire a professional in the fall for the following year, as some companies may offer better rates on contracts signed before the busy spring season.
