"Our pool is 35+ years old. Watermark Pool Services updated our pool with new tile, new coping and new plaster about 10 years ago. This year, we needed a few repairs, plus my husband always wanted sky blue plaster. This company's work crews are knowledgeable, efficient and courteous. I wouldn't want any other company but Watermark doing the work on my pool! We absolutely love our "new" pool and the blue plaster looks amazing!"

"They completed the work. A second crew came and corrected the first persons disaster. They fixed the issue with no additional cost to me thankfully but it did take longer to complete. We have since still been using Millennium for their bi-weekly cleaning service that includes open/close for 4 years now."

"Amazing gentlemen! They cleaned a very dirty, somewhat neglected pool (had to let prior pool guy go for a number of reasons) so pool sat for three weeks without filter and VIP spent hours here cleaning it until it was crystal clean. Hoping to get them here soon for my opening."

"I have used Alfa for 4 seasons. In the past, I used one of the big chain pool Co which always disappointed us. The only things the other Co was consistent in was over charging & never being accountable for poor service. I got so fed up I literally gave them the middle finger & waved bye bye.. lucky for me I found Alfa J Pool Service. The services I use are: open/close, maintenance, water ailments, trouble shooting & repair. In each case I have never felt disappointed, slighted nor overcharged. The service is friendly, professional and remarkably refreshing. I am on a very tight budget right now which is challenging when my pool is big and old and requires a tender touch as well as thoughtful & delicate treatment. Alfa has managed to keep her happy and healthy. My recommendation to you is, stop scrolling and end your search here. Reheating a hot tub from a cold temperature consumes a significant amount of energy, so maintaining a constant temperature is usually more economical, especially with frequent use.

For daily or weekly use, it's recommended to keep the water at a constant, reduced temperature, such as between 80 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit, and then increase it to your desired temperature before getting in. If you know you won't be using the hot tub for an extended period, you can lower the temperature to save on energy costs. However, if you use it very infrequently, you can turn it off completely, as long as there is no risk of the water freezing.

Where you drain a hot tub largely depends on local regulations, but you must not drain chemically treated water where it can damage the environment. Direct the water toward a sanitary sewer drain that will take it to a treatment facility. A hot tub cover's lifespan is typically between three and seven years, with an average of five to seven years for a well-maintained one. The quality of the cover is a major factor; lower-quality polyester or vinyl soft covers can tear easily with regular use.

To extend the life of your cover, proper maintenance is key. This includes:

  • Keeping the cover clean, dry, and out of the sun. Use a soft cloth and mild dish soap for cleaning.

  • Applying a vinyl protectant spray.

  • Cleaning the underside with a chlorine spray.

  • Using a cover lift to prevent damage from rough handling.

  • Protecting it from harsh weather.

  • Keeping children and pets off the cover.
