"My wife and I purchased a charming brick ranch home from the 1970s with dreams of transforming it into our ideal living space. Our first project was opening up the kitchen/family room to the living room by removing a load-bearing wall—definitely not a DIY job. We posted our project on Angie’s List and were soon contacted by Isai Huezo, owner of Huezo’s Construction LLC. Isai visited us the next day, and his estimate was so reasonable that we eagerly hired them on the spot. On Monday, a professional crew of four, led by a foreman, arrived promptly at 7:00 AM and got straight to work. They were not only highly skilled but also incredibly polite, keeping the work area immaculate during the demolition. By the second day, the team had seamlessly removed the remaining 2x4s, installed a robust lintel beam, and perfectly matched the drywall and trim to the rest of the house. We also had an outdated picket wall around the basement stairs. Isai recommended modernizing it with a sleek 3-foot wall, and it was completed within the three-day timeframe. Thrilled with their exceptional work, we discussed adding a dream screen porch and deck. The estimate was too good to pass up, so we went ahead. The results were nothing short of spectacular. The screen porch was beautifully integrated with the roof joists, and the deck, built on sturdy 6x6 posts and attached to the house, was a masterpiece. The porch featured custom wiring for lights, a ceiling fan, and outdoor floodlights, with a stunning tongue-and-groove pine ceiling stained in a glossy walnut finish. The craftsmanship was top-tier, and the crew's professionalism and courtesy made the entire experience a delight. Encouraged by their success, we tackled our outdated 1970s kitchen next. Isai returned to vent and wire the microwave, install LED lighting, and add a sconce light. He even refinished the ceiling and windows. After removing the cabinets, Isai didn’t miss a beat, finishing the ceiling, painting the trim and windows, and installing a beautiful tile backsplash. When we realized our old appliances didn’t match the newly renovated space, Isai went above and beyond, helping us select and purchase new appliances and offering to install them. Huezo Construction exceeded our expectations in every way with their exceptional craftsmanship, incredible value, and the wonderful camaraderie we developed with Isai and his crew. "Great! He arrived on time, with the right amount of crew, tools and positive attitude! He was very experienced with Ikea cabinets and knew when we had purchased the wrong items. He also knew when to send me back to Ikea for different parts. Ikea made alot of mistakes and he knew that was common. He wrote down the numbers of the items i needed which was extremely helpful. He and his crew were fantastic and i would hire him again in the future. His prices were very reasonable and i appreciated that. I had two glass doors that were on back order so he said i could hold back $200 from his pay until they czme in. I called him on Sunday and told him i just picked them up. He told me they would be there on Monday morning to finish the job. Of course he arrived on time and he finished the job quickly. Of the 4 companies i hired to do various things in my kitchen his was the only one i didnt have issues with. I asked him to install the lights inside and underneath the cabinets and install the microwave. The lights were difficult but he worked hard until they were done. They make the whole kitchen shine! He was extremely reasonable with the microwave installation price. I asked him for several cards and already passed them out to people that wanted a new kitchen i told them he is the best installer i ever hired. He made this overwhelming project so much easier."
