"Cleaned wood stove pipe.    Repaired chimney masonry cap.   Installed chimney cap.    Restored 2nd rusting chimney cap.  Inspected chimney liners.   Good steady work.   Personable.   Also does decks and masonry repair.   Made suggestions and went a little beyond the request with an easy fix on an existing component.

"Very professional and friendly.  I would rely on this company.
They gave me a window of 3 hours to arrive at the property, however I was the 1st appointment of the day so not sure why you can't confirm a time?  They also did not call me on their way to the job as discussed
I thought the price was reasonable for the service, however I can't confirm quality.  All I know is the job took a lot less than other chimney cleaning services I have had in the past.

"Called at 9 am to get an estimate, arrived the SAME DAY an hour later. Inspected 3 different flues for cleaning and determined that they were in great shape and did not need to be serviced. Installed 3 caps. The whole process took about 4 hours from the initial call to payment. A couple of things worth noting about this company, aside from the quick turn-around on the work. Johhny Mack, the owner's son, is very polite and honest. He probably could have told me my flues needed cleaning and charged me for moving a brush around. I wouldn't have known. The home is a 100 years old and I would have believed him. He also did not have a new cap for one of the smaller flues, but found a slightly used one in his shop and basically installed it at cost. He also reviewed basic fire safety with me, and advised me on several safety issues in my home, not in an attempt to sell me fire extinguishers, just as good advice."

"Darryl with Chimney Express LLC calls me back right away to arrange to meet me the same day. Darryl was very punctual, very polite and most of all very professional. I would use Chimney Express LLC services in the future and will highly recommend to friends, family and neighbors. Chimney Express LLC (Darryl) is definitely an "A"  service provider on Angie's List.

"I am extremely pleased with the work done.  The technicians were exceptionally professional and kept me informed about what they were doing all through the process.  They actually did more than expected in replacing the chimney cap damper.  The technician called me a week after performing the work to ask how the fireplace and chimney were performing."

"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

If a range hood has minor issues, the average repair costs $85 to $210. This accounts for both parts and labor. More extensive damage can cost as much as $300 to $500, at which point it may be worth considering completely replacing the range hood.

Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.

A higher CFM will make the price of your range hood more expensive. It can be challenging to speculate how much the CFM rating affects price, but ductless range hoods—that don’t need as high of a CFM as ducted range hoods—are less expensive than their alternative. On average, ductless hoods cost between $100 and $300, while ducted hoods can cost as much as $1,000.

A range hood is an exhaust fan for your kitchen, and several types and styles exist. They are meant to remove grease, moisture, and fumes from your stove. Although some models filter and recirculate the air, the most effective ones remove the air through a duct that’s vented to the outdoors.

You should contact a local range hood installation professional to install your range hood and do the ductwork. Prices range from $50 to $100 per hour, with the total number of hours required varying based on the project complexity. Simple installations might take an hour or two, while more complicated ones can take four hours or more.
