"Vitaliy came to my house to inspect the chimney and was extremely professional, knowledgeable and patient in explaining what needed to be done to the chimney. "I would HIGHLY recommend this company. We received an estimate for cleaning our chimney and fireplace when purchasing our home and the work ended up being far more extensive than the original estimate (major safety issue was found during cleaning). A&T Chimneys visited our home 4 times over the course of 2 months to finish the work. They worked around our schedules and were always on time, worked hard, and thoroughly explained all the work and future work. They were extremely reasonably priced and we do not believe we would have received anywhere near the same level of service from another provider.

"Excellent. They were on time and explained everything thoroughly. They took pictures of the chimney cap while up on the roof and explained what they saw and gave me options, while not being pushy. Would definitely use them again."

"The service was fine. The only thing is that they were really late coming. So, it was like dark when they got out of here. They left the area good when they were finished. It took them an hour-and-a-half to complete the job. They sent me a picture of the chimney. The price was great. They did show up."

"Two gentlemen arrived, very courteous and professional.  I escorted one gentleman to the furnace area to investigate what would be cleaned.  I was amazed to see what I saw!  Soot (looking more like crumbled dirt and sand) nearly filled the flue; solid evidence there was a serious and potentially unsafe problem in that side of the chimney.  The other gentleman shared that he'd go to the top of the chimney to advise me of the condition.  He also took pictures on their phones so I could see the condition above.  There was no cap on the furnace chimney (I had one on the fireplace chimney).  He also looked into the fireplace chimney which I greatly appreciated.  One gentleman advised me of the cost of the repairs, I agreed to the cost, and they began working.  These gentlemen were outstanding; demonstrating great concern for the safety of my home.  I would not hesitate to use them again.

"Called at 9 am to get an estimate, arrived the SAME DAY an hour later. Inspected 3 different flues for cleaning and determined that they were in great shape and did not need to be serviced. Installed 3 caps. The whole process took about 4 hours from the initial call to payment. A couple of things worth noting about this company, aside from the quick turn-around on the work. Johhny Mack, the owner's son, is very polite and honest. He probably could have told me my flues needed cleaning and charged me for moving a brush around. I wouldn't have known. The home is a 100 years old and I would have believed him. He also did not have a new cap for one of the smaller flues, but found a slightly used one in his shop and basically installed it at cost. He also reviewed basic fire safety with me, and advised me on several safety issues in my home, not in an attempt to sell me fire extinguishers, just as good advice."

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.

No, you can’t install just any microwave over your range. You have to get a specific type of microwave known as an over-the-range unit. These include venting and lighting features that you’ll need above your stovetop.

Although countertop units are more affordable, they won’t work for this type of installation. To avoid hazardous conditions in your kitchen, buy the right type of microwave for your needs.

Regular cleaning of filters and checking ducting ensures effective operation.

Yes, with features like LED lighting and variable speed controls for efficiency.

Most residential range hoods have a CFM between 200 and 600. A higher CFM means your range hood is better at removing smoke and odors from your kitchen. The measurement ultimately depends on your stove’s width and heat output as well as the size of your kitchen.

Compared to the average size of a stove and kitchen, 350 CFM would be the minimum recommended rating for the average kitchen. However, selecting a higher CFM range hood would guarantee better ventilation to match your cooking habits, whether they’re minimal or extensive.
