Clay and Kelly were very pleasant and professional. The burner wouldn't light all the way around but the guys were determined not to give up. They were here a little longer than expected but by golly they conquered that stubborn burner. Put down new lave rock and a thorough cleaning, flame looks good just in time for the cold, Great job guys .

Was recommended by a neighbor to look at my old Quadra-Fire pellet stove. Quick response and scheduled the following week. Extremely knowledgeable of pellet stoves. Only person I have found that services old Quarda-Fire stoves. Found the problems quickly and had the stove running in no time. Will definitely be calling again for service and maintenance on my stove. Does not try to sell you things you don't need. Highly recommented.

From the initial estimate, to the final "crowning" achievement of the installation of our new stainless steel flue liner and the custom designed chimney crown and flue caps, Justin Gulick and his crew displayed the professionalism, expertise, and determination to complete a job, that at times, appeared to be virtually impossible. Faced with having to correct what could have been a deadly CO2 gas and fire hazard presented by my HWBB oil burner heating ventilation system, while all the time having to deal with what can only be described, at best, as an unseen and undectable shoddy original chimney construction build, the Shen Valley crew stayed focused, positive, and polite throughout the entire process. Equally impressive to my wife and I, was Justin's adherence to the "old school" work ethic of abiding by his original labor estimate, even when the job ran over by about twice the time he had anticipated. We can't thank him and his crew enough, and we highly recommend him for all your fireplace and chimney concerns. Thanks, guys! Job well done! My wife and I will be sleeping easier for many years to come, knowing that the unseen hazards have been corrected 100% to our great relief and satisfaction.

Justin and Carleton came out to service my fireplace and they were phenomenal! Justin also installed a remote for our fireplace. Very thorough, knowledgeable and all around nice guy! My dog broke out and Carleton retrieved him. Justin even moved a ladder to our garage. Highly recommend!

*BOTTOM LINE* Shen Valley Fireplace and Chimney is a phenomenal company! Justin went above and beyond to make sure that this project was taken care of. Even at his own expense, he took care of what needed to be done (Read on for details). First of all, I contacted multiple fireplace installers and was given extremely crazy estimates. It was so outrageous that my wife and I felt that this was not going to be our year for replacing our fireplace. However, I decided to call one last company…a new company that only had a few reviews--Shen Valley Fireplace and Chimney—and we’re so glad we did! The original unit that he installed had issues. Whenever we turned on the blower, for the unit to push out warm air, it would push smoke out into the house. Justin took a look at it and felt that it was unsafe to be used. He reached out to the supplier and to the manufacturer. He was put into direct contact with engineers for the company and pointed out to them that it had design flaws that he considered dangerous. The company and the engineers refused to remedy the issue and said that the flaws, and our home filling up the smoke, was within “tolerance.” Justin felt that it was in our best interest for safety to replace the unit with a new unit from a different manufacturer at his own expense! He said that he would not put our lives at risk, or our home in danger, because a big corporate company did not want to step up for their installers. Thanks to Justin and his company, Shen Valley Fireplace and Chimney, we are able to have nice toasty nights in front of a beautiful fireplace. I believe, in my own opinion, that it would be impossible to find a more reputable and honest fireplace company in this area. Justin you have our gratitude and appreciation. Justin and Carlton were a very respectful team who took the time to work through the repair of our gas fireplace. One problem ended up being two problems that they discoverd and remedied. In the end, not only did it work again, but the 17 year old fireplace looked brand new as they not only valued functionality, but a complete product enhancement.

I have a old 2 story brick home. They installed a 6" double pipe insulated stainless steel flue liner from the roof to my basement. It took 8.5 hours for them to remove the old aluminum liner and install the new one. Everything in the process from estimate to finish was very professional and tailored to my individual budget and needs as much as possible. I highly recommend them. Great experience!

Having decided to switch from a wood to a pellet stove I called Shen Valley after reading the great reviews online. Justin listened to my situation and agreed to do the installation, even though I was outside his normal service area. After he secured my hard to find stove Justin and Craig came on the scheduled day and worked until after dark to complete the job. On a very windy day they climbed onto the roof to clean the chimney and install a chimney liner. After the installation Justin started a fire in the stove and explained itâ s operation. They were friendly and knowledgeable and I could tell they took pride in doing excellent work. Shen Valley gets my highest recommendation and from this former teacher they earn an A+.

While cleaning our chimney, they noticed a dangerous crack in our 50 year old wood stove. They provided options for replacement. Explained everything very well and warned us about a possible delay in getting the replacement stove. By not waiting to order, they were able to get our replacement stove very quickly. The new stove was installed and the old stove removed. They even noticed and repaired a problem with our door threshold before they started. Great work!

Good communications and on-time arrival. I appreciated them taking the time to hear everything I needed and also following up later, once the job was finished. We had new carpet installed, so they had clean tarps to lay down for protection. The team did a great job!

The crew did an excellent job cleaning our chimney. They laid down tarp protecting the floors and cleaned up the work area. I would recommend them.

A+ Excellent! I had a stainless steel chimney liner installed for a new oil furnace. Owner Justin was able to schedule this work on the Friday before my Monday HVAC install. This work was done on time and in a very professional manner. Justin communicated with me during the week of the scheduled install date to let me know that the material had arrived and everything was on schedule. Justin text me the night before to inform me that everything was loaded for tomorrow and that his Field Supervisor Brian will be overseeing the installation. Brian and Holden arrived on time and very professionally installed the liner in my older chimney. After the liner was lowered into the chimney a 2000 degree concrete was very neatly put around the liner at the bottom of the chimney inside my basement. Insulation was mixed outside on the ground and raised to the roof in buckets. It was then poured down around the liner. This work was all performed super carefully and spill free. Brian custom fitted a stainless plate on the top of the chimney bricks for water protection. A chimney rain cap was then installed at the top of the liner. Owner Justin arrived on-site to assist with reconnecting the furnace and to admire the excellent work that Brian and Holden had done. All of these gentlemen were super nice and professional. Justin, Brian, and Holden did an excellent job servicing our fireplace. We were experiencing issues with soot build-up. Justin made the process easy with setting up an appointment and checking in on the scheduled day. He also followed up with us after the service appointment to make sure everything went well. Brian and Holden were great to work with. When they arrived, they made sure to place tarps down on the floor to not track in mud. They explained everything thoroughly, took care to clean the fireplace, and move the logs around to ensure the issue did not occur again. Once they were done, they cleaned up and left the place in better shape than they left it.

They were fantastic and worked very hard to meet everything that asked for, very detailed oriented and responsive. Highly recommend them.
