"Rating 2 star because quality of tiling work is decent. This company is not cheap, but overall work quality is cheap. After completing the bathroom remodel, we found the hand shower was not working. They first blamed Delta, saying it faulty. I called delta customer rep in front of him and delta pointed out the problem with installation. Cutting the new bathroom tile was expensive, so Sosa did something from the back of bathroom by cutting a drywall, and both rain/ hand shower started working. We had the feeling that something is not correct because there was not enough water pressure and water was not warm enough. And here it happened exactly after 2 months, the shower system stopped working. When I called Sosa to check what’s going on and he responded “it was working when I left” . So I had to call another agency, they cut the drywall and showed me the poor quality plumbing done by Sosa. They re-did the plumbing and shower system started working."

From the initial demolition to the final finishing touches, we were always kept in the loop and given advance notice when the various stages of work needed to occur. The following are key points worth mentioning: - Superb customer support - Excellent project management to include adjustments for design changes and when unforeseen issues occurred, e.g., the requirement to upgrade the electrical circuit for a new appliance - Attention to detail. This kitchen remodel consisted of dozens of specific steps requiring detailed coordination between various vendors and trades. Everything went off without a hitch. Cleanliness - during the demolition phase, the entire kitchen was sealed to reduce the impact of construction dust spreading throughout the house. At the end of the project, the post cleaning crew did an excellent job as well. - planned payments that matched the work schedule protected both parties from start to finish. Last but not least, they never tried to up sell a particular item. Chris listened to the person in charge (wife) and provided suggestions, based on his past experiences designing and remodeling homes. Bottom line: if you want the job done right, the first time, and prefer value over expediency, this is the company for you."

"I would not hire these people again. Dan, the project manager, seemed confused and often overwhelmed. He didn't take any notes while he was here which often resulted in things being done twice. As far as the chain of command everything seemed to stop at Dan. Most days the Blackwood employees would openly complain about Dan (I'm not going to mention what they complained about since that is "hear say"). Low morale seemed to be the common thread across everyone who was sent here. The lowbrow humor alone, would keep me from recommending them to anyone. The work wasn't the worst but the management of our project was terrible."

"I had a bad computer board in my oven. they said they would not cover it because they found a roach. This is Florida we have some roaches. i do not have a bug problem. It has nothing to do with a bad computer board. This company looks for a way to deny claims. i had one other claim and they tried to deny it as well. Save yourself some agravation and stay away. They must post their own positive reviews. They took my $65.00 fee and did nothing"

"We live on a hill, with a set of steps to navigate the front yard, that end in a landing at the bottom. They were destroyed in an accident. Steve and his crew at SS Creative were the contractor I selected to repair the work. They did an excellent job matching the new construction to the old construction. Although I didn't expect it, they finished the job on Christmas Eve! I intend to call them for future projects. Excellent craftsmanship!"

"I had an incredibly disappointing experience with The Carpet House. They recently installed flooring in my home, and not only did they damage several walls and ceilings during the installation, but the quality of the flooring work itself is far below industry standards. There are noticeable gaps and nail heads through the top of finished boards that make the job look rushed and unprofessional. To make matters worse, I’ve reached out multiple times to request repairs or at least a discussion about the damage—and I’ve been completely ignored. Blame us for the damages when the damages are the same color as the boxes of flooring which were cairing up the stairs like a bull in a china cabinet, no accountability, and certainly no customer service. It’s unacceptable that a company would cause damage to a customer's home and then refuse to take responsibility. I do not recommend this business to anyone looking for quality flooring or reliable service. Save yourself the hassle and go with a company that stands behind their work."
